Abstract: A CENTRAL ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES AND METHOD THEREOF Abstract of the Invention Disclosed herein a central electronic control system for an electric vehicle comprising an electronic control unit (ECU) having a power connector for powering the internal sub-power units in an intelligent manner, wherein the ECU is connected to various vehicle’s component for intelligent monitoring, diagnosing and controlling of the vehicle, wherein the ECU is situated just behind a power converter of the vehicle for its efficient functioning, wherein the electronic control unit (ECU) and the power converter are located and spaced in the vehicle so as to enable the maintenance of operating temperature of the ECU and also protecting it from electromagnetic environment for its normal efficient functioning.

Field of the Invention
In general, this invention, relates to a field of an electric vehicle. More particularly, the present invention provides a system comprises of electronic control unit (ECU) and method of placing the unit in said system to enables the unit to monitor, diagnose and control the vehicle smartly.

Background of the Invention

An electronic control system plays a very important role in functioning of the electric vehicle. Power and energy control is another challenge in any electric vehicle. Placement of the central control unit is another challenge to enable effective control of the vehicle. Various works have been going on by employing number of control units to control different activities and functions of the electric vehicle. Various solutions have been provided to use more computation power using minimum energy.

Various prior arts are disclosing different solutions by employing the central control unit to provide effective solutions in vehicle. However, still there is need to provide an effective solution for controlling the complete vehicle by monitoring and diagnosing the potential issues in the vehicle.

It would be desirable, therefore, to develop an improved and innovative system containing the electronic control unit that is capable of monitoring, diagnosing and controlling the vehicle in an intelligent manner and obviates the challenges that exists in the prior arts.

Summary of the Invention
The various objectives and embodiments of present invention as presented herein are understood to be illustrative and not restrictive and are non-limiting with respect to the scope of the invention.

It is an objective of the invention to provide a central control unit, which is capable of interacting with the whole electric vehicle, and control the vehicle efficiently.

It is one other objective of the invention to provide a central control unit, which is capable of analysing vehicle behaviour, assist, and guide the driver to get better and smart ride experience.

It is one other objective of the invention to provide a central control unit, which is mounted within a system to enable easy accessibility for diagnosis & service.

It is one other objective of the invention to provide a central control unit, is mounted within a system adapted to avoid heating the ECU and enable efficient working for long time.

In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a Central Electronic Control System for an electric vehicle comprising an electronic control unit (ECU) having a power connector for powering the internal sub-power units in an intelligent manner, wherein the ECU is connected to various vehicle’s component for intelligent monitoring, diagnosing and controlling of the vehicle, wherein the ECU is situated just behind a power converter of the vehicle for its efficient functioning.

In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a Central Electronic Control System for an electric vehicle comprising an electronic control unit (ECU) having a power connector for powering the internal sub-power units in an intelligent manner, wherein the ECU is connected to various vehicle’s component for intelligent monitoring, diagnosing and controlling of the vehicle, wherein the ECU is situated just behind a power converter of the vehicle for its efficient functioning wherein said ECU is assembled on the rear side of the neck of the motorcycle and on front face of the utility box.
In accordance with any above embodiment of the present invention, the said power converter is located just behind the neck portion of the vehicle so as to always face the outer environment of the nature and tends to match the temperature with the temperature of air flowing, wherein said power converter is preferably a DC-DC power converter.
In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a Central Electronic Control System for an electric vehicle comprising an electronic control unit (ECU) having a power connector for powering the internal sub-power units in an intelligent manner, wherein the ECU is connected to various vehicle’s component for intelligent monitoring, diagnosing and controlling of the vehicle, wherein the ECU is situated just behind a power converter of the vehicle for its efficient functioning, wherein said power converter is located just behind the neck portion of the vehicle so as to always face the outer environment of the nature and tends to match the temperature with the temperature of air flowing, wherein said power converter is preferably a DC-DC power converter, wherein said ECU is assembled on the rear side of the neck of the motorcycle and on front face of the utility box, wherein said ECU is mounted at the back face of the power converter with an air-filled gap enabling the avoidance of electromagnetic interference, thus helping in maintaining the operating temperature of the ECU for its normal efficient functioning.
In accordance with just above embodiment of the present invention, wherein the mounting of said ECU is performed in a manner so as to protect it from electromagnetic environment for its normal efficient functioning.
In accordance with above one or more embodiment of the present invention, said ECU is located in front portion of the vehicle and mounted behind the DC-DC convertor employing common brackets designed to adopt the mounting of ECU.
The Central Electronic Control System as disclosed herein according to the present invention is employed for all kind of Motorcycles, preferably for electric two-wheeler motorcycle.

The solutions of the present disclosure are to be clearly described in the following with reference to the accompanying drawing Figure. The embodiments mentioned herein in the specification are exemplary with respect to indicating the function of the units in said system and it is obvious that the embodiments to be described are only a part rather than all the embodiments of the present disclosure.

All other embodiments obtained by persons skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the present disclosure without creative efforts shall fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a Central Electronic Control System for an electric vehicle comprising an electronic control unit (ECU) having a power connector for powering the internal sub-power units in an intelligent manner, wherein the ECU is connected to various vehicle’s component for intelligent monitoring, diagnosing and controlling of the vehicle, wherein the ECU is situated just behind a power converter of the vehicle for its efficient functioning , wherein said ECU is mounted just behind the power converter in the front portion of motorcycle chassis, wherein the front portion of the motorcycle is designed in a manner to create suitable space for locating the power converter and ECU.
In accordance with one of the above embodiments of the present invention, wherein a set of common brackets is employed for mounting the Power Convertor and ECU, wherein said ECU is further connected to other aggregates through vehicle wiring harness.

Referring to Figure 1, there is provided a central electronic system for a two wheeler electric vehicle, that comprises of an electronic control unit (ECU) 2 having a power connector 4 for powering the internal sub-power units in an intelligent manner, wherein the ECU 2 is connected to various vehicle’s component for intelligent monitoring, diagnosing and controlling of the vehicle, wherein the ECU 2 is situated just behind the power converter 1 of the vehicle for its efficient functioning wherein said ECU 2 is assembled on the rear side of the neck 5 of the motorcycle and on front face of the utility box 3, so as to always face the outer environment of the nature and tends to match the temperature with the temperature of air flowing, wherein said power converter 1 is preferably a DC-DC power converter, wherein said ECU 2 is mounted at the back face of the power converter 1 with an air-filled gap 6 enabling the avoidance of electromagnetic interference, thus helping in maintaining the operating temperature of the ECU for its normal efficient functioning, wherein said ECU 2 is located in front portion of the vehicle and mounted behind the DC-DC convertor 1 employing common brackets designed to adopt the mounting of ECU, wherein ECU 2 is mounted just behind the power converter 1 in the front portion of motorcycle chassis 7, wherein the front portion of the motorcycle is designed in a manner to create suitable space for locating the power converter 1 and ECU 2.
,CLAIMS:We Claim:
1. A Central Electronic Control System for an electric vehicle comprises:
an electronic control unit (ECU) having a power connector for powering the internal sub-power units in an intelligent manner, wherein the ECU is connected to various vehicle’s component for intelligent monitoring, diagnosing and controlling of the vehicle, wherein the ECU is situated just behind a power converter of the vehicle for its efficient functioning.
2. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 1, wherein said ECU is assembled on the rear side of the neck of the motorcycle and on front face of the utility box.
3. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 1, wherein said power converter is located just behind the neck portion of the vehicle so as to always face the outer environment of the nature and tends to match the temperature with the temperature of air flowing, wherein said power converter is preferably a DC-DC power converter.
4. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 1, 2 and 3, wherein said ECU is mounted at the back face of the power converter with an air-filled gap enabling the avoidance of electromagnetic interference, thus helping in maintaining the operating temperature of the ECU for its normal efficient functioning.
5. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 4, wherein mounting of said ECU is performed in a manner so as to protect it from electromagnetic environment for its normal efficient functioning.
6. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 3 and 5, wherein said ECU is located in front portion of the vehicle and mounted behind the DC-DC convertor employing common brackets designed to adopt the mounting of ECU.
7. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 1, wherein ECU is mounted just behind the power converter in the front portion of motorcycle chassis, wherein the front portion of the motorcycle is designed in a manner to create suitable space for locating the power converter and ECU.
8. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 1, wherein a set of common brackets is employed for mounting the Power Convertor and ECU, wherein said ECU is further connected to other aggregates through vehicle wiring harness.
9. The Central Electronic Control System as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electric vehicle is a two-wheeler electric vehicle.
