Abstract: The present invention is useful for people having spine related issues. Said chair also corrects bad sitting posture. The flexible back and the armrests are uniquely designed curvature that provides lumbar support to the user thereby helping said user in maintaining an upright sitting posture. The instant invention prevents problems related to spinal cord and can be used by patients suffering from spine related problems. The flexibility in said chair is provided by the open end of the back rest.
Field of the invention
The present invention relates to a chair designed meticulously with a flexible back with armrests so as to provide support to the lower spinal cord and to overall improve the posture of the user.
Background of the invention
In a world where manual labor is becoming increasingly redundant by every passing day, sedentary lifestyle has become an inevitable way of life for humans. In such circumstances it has become imperative to pay keen attention to what kind of chairs are we using to place ourselves while sitting for long hours at one place and in one position. A chair designed without keeping in mind the idea to provide our spinal cord proper support, may cause permanent damage to it and distort our posture irreversibly.
Such a chair has been disclosed in US5383712A. The said invention relates to a high density stacking flex chair. The frame of the chair has a seat attached thereto, and a back pivotally attached thereto. The back of chair is curved and can tilt backwards, but is limited by the frame which, through the back, has a lesser radius of curvature and is angled downward, thus providing stop action for back rotation.
Such a chair has also been disclosed in US6736450B2. The said invention is a collapsible chair which includes a frame composed of four pair of cross legs located on four sides of the chair, namely front, back and side cross legs. It has a pair of armrest have front end pivotally connected to the side cross legs.
Objective of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide a specifically designed chair, with flexible backrest that would contribute in overall development of proper posture of the user along with providing appropriate support to their lower spinal cord.
Yet another objective of the instant invention is to correct bad sitting posture and prevent permanent damage caused to the spinal cord of the user caused due to prolonged sitting in an incorrect stance.
Yet another objective of the instant invention is to provide a well-researched and comfortable sitting alternative to the patients suffering from spine related problems with a vision to, if not improve, limit the damages already caused to their spinal cord due to years of inappropriate seating posture.
The instant invention achieves the aforementioned objectives by deploying a unique design approach in form of a flexible backrest that not only provides lumbar support to the user, but also keeps the comfort factor intact so as to facilitate usage for long period of time.
