BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
10 [002] In an automotive vehicle, the seats are designed considering adult occupants and
said seats are not comfortable to hold a child occupant in a perfect posture. While the
toddlers are resting or sleeping, regular restraint straps are not able to hold the toddlers
perfectly and the chances of slipping forward of a child occupant is high. The regular
restraint straps (Seat Belts) are used to hold the occupant securely but are not useful for
15 holding a child occupant below the age of 8 years as they get easily slipped out from the
regular restraint straps. Similarly, the seats are not comfortable to provide comforts to the
child due to the seat dimensions provided for the adult occupants only. At the same time
extra stress on child occupant neck may create discomfort and pain to the child occupant.
In case of a rapid forward/backward movement and crash conditions, the child occupants
20 and specially the neck of the child occupants may get serious injuries.
