EXAMPLE

1. Example 1: Preparation of the coating composition
About 45 g to 50 g of coconut oil was heated in a metal container on a heater. About 20 g to 25 g of anhydrous potassium hydroxide (KOH) was mixed with about 80 g to 100 g of demineralized water, followed by mixing for about 5 minutes to obtain KOH solution. The KOH solution was added to heated coconut oil and mixed well for about 7 minutes to 10 minutes and the mixture was subjected to holding time of about 6 hours. After about 6 hours liquid urea was added to the mixture and stirred for about 2 minutes to 3 minutes and heated for about 7 minutes to 10 minutes until the solution becomes clear, followed by cooling the solution. About 4 g to 5 g of isopropyl alcohol was added to the cooled solution to obtain the coating composition.

Example 2: Method of coating the composition for obtaining crackled paint on the composition
Sanding of a substrate such as car fender, display panel and dashboard with 800grit paper. Applying the coating composition prepared in Example 1 on the sanded surface of the substrate to obtain at least 3 coating layers of the composition, followed by drying at a temperature of about 30 ºC. Upon drying, star shaped cracks were developed on the substrate. Supplementary paint composition was applied on crackled paint, followed by sanding. An additional coating was applied on the surface of the substrate for protecting the crackled paint on the substrate.
