It is another object of the present invention to provide a method of manufacturing a compact electrical socket assembly, which is easy to install and dislodge.
How the foregoing objects are achieved and the other aspects of the present invention, will be clear from the following description which is purely by way of understanding and not by way of any sort of limitation.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION :
Accordingly, the present invention provides a compact electrical socket assembly including a top portion and a bottom portion , a terminal contact holder resting on a terminal contact, at least a box type Socket having a child safety shutter, a shutter spring, "L" and "N" brass cutting parts, earthing cutting parts and "L" and "N" cutting parts all operatively connected , wherein a socket knob is detachably attachable to said Socket in a push fit manner along a base plate for its removal and installation from front.
In accordance with preferred embodiments of the compact electrical socket assembly of the present invention:
-two terminal screws are located beneath said "L" and "N" brass cutting parts and a terminal screw is located beneath said terminal contact for abutment and said shutter spring rests on said terminal contact holder.
-two terminal screws are located beneath said "L" and "N" brass cutting parts for abutment and said child safety shutter rests on said terminal contact holder.
-said shutter spring is located beneath said child safety shutter, said "L" and "N" brass cutting parts are located above said earthing cutting parts and said earthing cutting parts are located above said terminal contact.
-said child safety shutter is located beneath said shutter spring and said "L" and "N" brass cutting parts are located beneath said earthing cutting parts and said earthing cutting parts are located above said terminal contact.
-said switch is made from poly carbonate material.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS :
The nature and scope of the present invention, will be better understood from the accompanying drawings, which are by way of illustration of some preferred embodiments and not by way of any sort of limitation. In the accompanying drawings:
Figure 1 illustrates a blown up view of a preferred embodiment of the compact electrical socket assembly according to the present invention. This figure 1 is illustrates in two sheets, namely sheet-1 and sheet-2.
Figure 2 illustrates a blown up view of a preferred embodiment of the compact electrical socket assembly according to the present invention. This figure 2 is illustrated in two sheets namely sheet-3 and sheet-4.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION :
The following describes some preferred embodiments of the present invention, which are purely for the sake of understanding the performance of the invention, and not by way of any sort of limitation.
The present invention essentially provides a compact electrical socket assembly having at least one switch which is made of polycarbonate material and is easy to install and dislodge. This, in turn ensures requirement for substantially less time in replacement and fitting operations, as the compact electrical switch according to the present invention is fitted from the front, in a push fit manner without disturbing the base plate. The individual components of the compact electrical socket assembly according to the present invention are replaceable and the switch does not require any rigorous application of screwing means for fixing. To be precise the socket assembly according to the present invention comprises at least one switch which does not require any application of screwing means for fixing. Furthermore, alternatively, the socket assembly according to the present invention also includes at least one switch which in addition to the components described hereinbefore and hereinafter, may optionally require application of some minor screwing means.
As illustrated in the accompanying figures 1 and 2, which are blown up views of two preferred embodiments of the compact electrical socket assembly according to the present invention, it includes a top portion(l) and a bottom portion(12), a terminal contact holder(4) resting on a terminal contact(lO). There is also provided at least a box type switch having a child safety shutter(2), a shutter spring(3), "L" and "N" brass cutting parts(5,6), earthing cutting parts(7) and "L" and "N" cutting parts(8,9). All these are operatively connected to each other. A socket knob is detachably attachable to the switch in a push fit manner along a base plate for its removal and installation from front.
Preferably, as specifically illustrated in the accompanying figure 1 two terminal screws(6') are located beneath the "L" and "N" brass cutting parts and a terminal screw(ll) is located beneath the terminal contact(l0) for abutment and the shutter spring(3) rests on the terminal contact holder(4). More preferably, the shutter spring(3) is located beneath the child safety shutter(2), the "L" and "N" brass cutting parts(5,6) are located above the earthing cutting parts(7) and the earthing cutting parts are located above the terminal contact(l0).
According to another preferred embodiment as specifically illustrated in the accompanying figure 2 , two terminal screws(6') are located beneath the "L" and "N" brass cutting parts(5,6) for abutment and the child safety shutter(2) rests on the terminal contact holder(4). More preferably, the child safety shutter(2) is located beneath the shutter spring(3) and the "L" and "N" brass cutting parts(5,6) are located beneath the earthing cutting parts(7), while the earthing cutting parts(7) are located above the terminal contact(l0).
The aforesaid designs being very simple, the manufacturing and maintenance cost of such socket assemblies is also substantially low, facilitating its availability to end users at reasonably low cost. These designs facilitate achieving the objects of the invention as stated hereinbefore.
