Claims:1. A composition for modulating age-related skin pigmentation, said composition comprising:
a. 6, 7, 4’ trihydroxyisoflavone; and
b. dihydrooxyresveratrol,
wherein 6, 7, 4 trihydroxyisoflavone to dihydrooxyresveratrol molar ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.5 to1:1.5.

2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein 6, 7, 4 trihydroxyisoflavone to dihydrooxyresveratrol molar ratio in said composition is 1:1.

3. A topical formulation for modulating age-related skin pigmentation, said formulation comprising:
a. 6, 7, 4 trihydroxyisoflavone;
b. dihydrooxyresveratrol; and
c. at least one suitable carrier, diluent, and excipient,
wherein 6, 7, 4 trihydroxyisoflavone to dihydrooxyresveratrol molar ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.5 to 1:1.5.

4. The topical formulation as claimed in claim 3, wherein 6, 7, 4 trihydroxy isoflavone to dihydrooxyresveratrol molar ratio in said formulation is 1:1.

5. A method of cosmetic skin lightening, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2; and
b. contacting said composition with skin,
wherein said method results in cosmetic skin lightening.

6. A method of cosmetic skin lightening, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a topical formulation as claimed in any of the claims 3-4; and
b. contacting said formulation with skin,
wherein said method results in cosmetic skin lightening.

7. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2.

8. A method of preparing a topical formulation as claimed in any of the claims 3-4.

9. A composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2, or the formulation as claimed in any of the claims 3-4 for topical use in cosmetic skin lightening.
