Claims:1. A composition comprising:
- adenosine triphosphate; and
- gluconolactone,
wherein adenosine triphosphate to gluconolactone w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 2.5:1-40:1.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein adenosine triphosphate to gluconolactone w/w ratio in said composition is 10:1.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein adenosine triphosphate weight concentration in said composition is in the range of 0.05-0.2%, and gluconolactone weight concentration in said composition is in the range of 0.005-0.02%.
4. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3.
5. A formulation comprising:
- adenosine triphosphate;
- gluconolactone; and
- suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients,
wherein adenosine triphosphate to gluconolactone w/w ratio in said formulation is in the range of 2.5:1-40:1.
6. The formulation as claimed in claim 5, wherein adenosine triphosphate to gluconolactone w/w ratio in said formulation is 10:1.
7. A method of preparing a formulation as claimed in any of the claims 5-6.
8. A method of promoting epithelial wound healing, said method comprising:
- obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3; and
- contacting said composition with site of epithelial wound,
wherein said method promotes epithelial wound healing.
9. A method of promoting epithelial wound healing, said method comprising:
- obtaining a formulation as claimed in any of the claims 5-6; and
- contacting said formulation with site of epithelial wound,
wherein said method promotes epithelial wound healing.
10. A patch for topical application for epithelial wound healing comprising a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, further optionally comprising suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
11. A composition comprising a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, or a formulation as claimed in any of the claims 5-6 for use in promoting epithelial wound healing.
