Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition comprising of aloin, and cinnamomum bark oil, which at particular w/w ratios exhibits synergistic inhibition of lipid accumulation. Also provided in the present disclosure are formulation comprising said composition, and methods of inhibiting lipid accumulation.

Specification

CLIAMS:1. A composition comprising:
a. aloin; and
b. cinnamomum bark oil.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein said composition inhibits intracellular lipid accumulation.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein aloin to cinnamomum bark oil w/w ratio in said composition is 10.66:1-0.66:1, with the proviso that aloin to cinnamomum bark oil w/w ratio in said composition is not 1.77:1.
4. A formulation comprising of a composition as claimed in claim 1.
5. The formulation as claimed in claim 4, further comprising of suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
6. The formulation as claimed in claim 4, wherein aloin to cinnamomum bark oil w/w ratio in said formulation is 10.66:1-0.66:1, with the proviso that aloin to cinnamomum bark oil w/w ratio in said formulation is not 1.77:1.
7. A method of inhibiting intracellular lipid accumulation, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in claim 1 or a formulation as claimed in claim 4; and
b. contacting said composition or formulation with a cell capable of intracellular lipid accumulation.
8. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in claim 1 or a formulation as claimed in claim 4.
