Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition comprising Borassus flabellifer extract and phycocyanin, which at particular w/w ratios, exhibits enhanced bone forming activity. This composition finds potential application in formulations which can promote bone health.

Specification
Claims:1. A composition comprising:
a. phycocyanin; and
b. Borassus flabellifer extract,
wherein phycocyanin to Borassus flabellifer extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:5 to 5:1.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein Borassus flabellifer extract weight percentage in said composition is in the range of 0.00033% to 0.00166%, and phycocyanin weight percentage in said composition is in the range of 0.00033% to 0.00166%.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein phycocyanin to Borassus flabellifer extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:4 to 4:1.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 3, wherein Borassus flabellifer extract weight percentage in said composition is in the range of 0.0004% to 0.0016%, and phycocyanin weight percentage in said composition is in the range of 0.0004% to 0.0016%.
5. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1 or 3, wherein phycocyanin to Borassus flabellifer extract w/w ratio in said composition is 4:1.
6. The composition as claimed in claim 5, wherein phycocyanin weight percentage in said composition is 0.0016%, and Borassus flabellifer extract weight percentage in said composition is 0.0004%.
7. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1 or 3, wherein phycocyanin to Borassus flabellifer extract w/w ratio in said composition is 3:2.
8. The composition as claimed in claim 7, wherein phycocyanin weight percentage in said composition is 0.0012%, and Borassus flabellifer extract weight percentage in said composition is 0.0008%.
9. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1 or 3, wherein phycocyanin to Borassus flabellifer extract w/w ratio in said composition is 1:1.
10. The composition as claimed in claim 9, wherein phycocyanin weight percentage in said composition is 0.001%, and Borassus flabellifer extract weight percentage in said composition is 0.001%.
11. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1 or 3, wherein phycocyanin to Borassus flabellifer extract w/w ratio in said composition is 2:3.
12. The composition as claimed in claim 11, wherein phycocyanin weight percentage in said composition is 0.0008%, and Borassus flabellifer extract weight percentage in said composition is 0.0012%.
13. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1 or 3, wherein phycocyanin to Borassus flabellifer extract w/w ratio in said composition is 1:4.
14. The composition as claimed in claim 13, wherein phycocyanin weight percentage in said composition is 0.0004%, and Borassus flabellifer extract weight percentage in said composition is 0.0016%.
15. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-14, further comprising carriers, diluents, and excipients.
16. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-15.
17. A method to promote bone health, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-15; and
b. contacting said composition with bone,
wherein said method promotes bone health.
