Specification

Claims:1. A composition comprising:
a. fucoxanthin; and
b. anthocyanin,
wherein said composition is encapsulated within a micelle, and fucoxanthin to anthocyanin w/w ratio in said micelle is in the range of 2:1-10:1.

2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein said micelle comprises at least one oil selected from the group consisting of olive oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, groundnut oil, gingili oil, coconut oil, and clarified butter.

3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein said fucoxanthin to anthocyanin w/w ratio in said micelle is 8.18:1.

4. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in claim 1, said method comprising:
a. obtaining fucoxanthin;
b. obtaining anthocyanin;
c. obtaining at least one oil selected from the group consisting of olive oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, groundnut oil, gingili oil, coconut oil, and clarified butter; and
d. mixing fucoxanthin and anthocyanin with at least one oil to obtain micelles consisting of fucoxanthin and anthocyanin.

5. The method as claimed in claim 4, wherein said method optionally comprises an additional step of obtaining and adding at least one ingredient, which improves the miscibility of said micelles.
6. The method as claimed in any of the claims 4-5, wherein said method optionally comprises an additional step of obtaining and adding at least one ingredient, which improves the emulsification of said micelles.

7. The method as claimed in any of the claims 4-6, wherein fucoxanthin to anthocyanin w/w ratio in said micelle is in the range of 2:1-10:1.

8. A formulation comprising:
a. fucoxanthin;
b. anthocyanin; and
c. at least one carrier, diluent, and excipient,
wherein fucoxanthin and anthocyanin in said formulation is encapsulated within a micelle, and fucoxanthin to anthocyanin w/w ratio in said micelle is in the range of 2:1-10:1.

9. The formulation as claimed in claim 8, wherein said micelle comprises at least one oil selected from the group consisting of olive oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, groundnut oil, gingili oil, coconut oil, and clarified butter.

10. A method of preparing a formulation as claimed in any of the claims 8-9.

11. A method of enhancing intracellular uptake of fucoxanthin and anthocyanin; said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3 or a formulation as claimed in any of the claims 8-9; and
b. contacting said composition or formulation with site of intracellular uptake,
wherein said method enhances intracellular uptake of fucoxanthin and anthocyanin.

12. A method of enhancing wound closure, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3 or a formulation as claimed in any of the claims 8-9; and
b. contacting said composition or formulation with wound site,
wherein said method enhances wound closure.
