Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition comprising of apple extract and 7,8,4-trihydroxyisoflavone that is useful in inhibiting intracellular cholesterol synthesis. The present disclosure also provides methods of preparation and use of said composition.

Specification

CLIAMS:1. A composition comprising of:
a. apple extract; and
b. 7,8,4-trihydroxy isoflavone.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein said composition inhibits intracellular cholesterol synthesis.
3. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2, wherein apple extract to 7,8,4-trihydroxy isoflavone w/w ratio in said composition is 0.062:1-1.2:1.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 3, wherein apple extract to 7,8,4-trihydroxy isoflavone w/w ratio in said composition is 0.062:1-0.992:1.
5. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4, said composition optionally comprising of suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
6. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5.
7. A method of inhibiting intracellular cholesterol synthesis, said method comprising of:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5; and
b. contacting said composition with a cell capable of producing cholesterol,
wherein said method inhibits intracellular cholesterol synthesis.
8. A method of cholesterol management, said method comprising of:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5; and
b. administering to a person in need of cholesterol management said composition.
9. Use of a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5 in cholesterol management.
