Specification

CLIAMS:1. A composition for maintenance of metabolic homeostasis, said composition comprising of:
a. luteolin; and
b. pterostilbene.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein luteolin to pterostilbene w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.5-1:1.5.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 2, wherein luteolin to pterostilbene w/w ratio in said composition is 1:0.9.
4. A method of maintenance of metabolic homeostasis, said method comprising of:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3; and
b. contacting said composition with cells involved in metabolism,
wherein said method maintains metabolic homeostasis.
5. A formulation comprising of a composition as claimed in claim 1.
6. The formulation as claimed in claim 5, wherein luteolin to pterostilbene w/w ratio in said formulation is in the range of 1:0.5-1:1.5.
7. The formulation as claimed in claim 6, wherein luteolin to pterostilbene w/w ratio in said formulation is 1:0.9.
8. The formulation as claimed in any of the claims 5-7, further comprising of suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
9. A formulation comprising of:
a. flour;
b. oil;
c. sugar;
d. water;
e. baking soda;
f. flavoring agent;
g. sodium chloride;
h. luteolin; and
i. pterostilbene.
10. The formulation as claimed in claim 9, wherein flour weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 52.725-58.275%, oil weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 18.905-20.895%, sugar weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 15.77-17.43%, water weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 5.225-5.775%, baking soda weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.6825-0.7175%, flavoring agent weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.39-0.41%, sodium chloride weight percentage in said formulation is 0.4%, luteolin weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.000975-0.5125%, and pterostilbene weight percentage in said formulation is in the range of 0.000975-0.5125%.
11. A composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4 or a formulation as claimed in any of the claims 5-10 for use in maintenance of metabolic homeostasis.
