A Composition Comprising Of Phycocyanin For Promoting Bone Health And Uses Thereof
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition that promotes bone health. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a composition comprising of phycocyanin, and at least one or more ingredients selected from the group consisting of vitamin D3, calcium, and combinations thereof at particular w/w ratios. Also provided are formulations comprising said composition, methods of preparing the same, and methods of promoting bone health.

Specification
CLIAMS:1. A composition for promoting bone health, said composition comprising of
a. phycocyanin; and
b. at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of vitamin D3, calcium, and combinations thereof.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein vitamin D3 is selected from the group consisting of cholecalciferol, calcifediol, and calcitriol, preferably cholecalciferol, and wherein calcium is selected form the group consisting of calcium chloride, calcium carbonate, calcium citrate, calcium gluconate, and calcium lactate, preferably calcium chloride.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein phycocyanin to at least one ingredient w/w ratio in said composition is 1:0.0025-1:0.08, and wherein said at least one ingredient is vitamin D3.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein phycocyanin to at least one ingredient w/w ratio in said composition is 1:0.5-1:20, and wherein said at least one ingredient is calcium.
5. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein phycocyanin to at least one ingredient w/w ratio in said composition is 1:0.05-1:20.08, wherein said at least one ingredient is a combination of calcium and vitamin D3.
6. A formulation comprising of a composition as claimed in claim 1.
7. The formulation as claimed in claim 6, further comprising of suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
8. The formulation as claimed in claim 6, wherein phycocyanin to at least one ingredient w/w ratio in said formulation is 1:3.3x10-6-1:0.00008, and wherein said at least one ingredient is vitamin D3.
9. The formulation as claimed in claim 6, wherein phycocyanin to at least one ingredient w/w ratio in said formulation is 1:0.066-1:4.8, and wherein said at least one ingredient is calcium.
10. The formulation as claimed in claim 6, wherein phycocyanin to at least one ingredient w/w ratio in said formulation is 1:0.066-1:4.8, and wherein said at least one ingredient is a combination of calcium and vitamin D3.
11. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in claim 1 or a formulation as claimed in claim 6.
12. A method of promoting bone health, said method comprising of
a. obtaining or preparing a composition as claimed in claim 1 or a formulation as claimed in claim 6; and
b. contacting said composition with bone,
wherein said method promotes bone health.
13. Use of a composition as claimed in claim 1 or a formulation as claimed in claim 6 in promoting bone health.
