Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising sulforaphane, and linolenic acid, and uses thereof. The disclosure also provides for a method of use of the said composition for inhibiting production of reactive oxygen species.

Specification

Claims:1. A composition comprising:
a) linolenic acid;
b) sulforaphane;
c) docosahexaenoic acid; and
d) bacoside A,
wherein linolenic acid to sulforaphane w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 14:1-114:1, linolenic acid to docosahexaenoic acid w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 2:1-4:1, and docosahexaenoic acid to bacoside A w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 2:1-17:1.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein linolenic acid to sulforaphane w/w ratio in said composition is 113.41:1, linolenic acid to docosahexaenoic acid w/w ratio in said composition is 4:1, and docosahexaenoic acid to bacoside A w/w ratio in said composition is 16.2:1.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein linolenic acid to sulforaphane w/w ratio in said composition is 14.18:1, linolenic acid to docosahexaenoic acid w/w ratio in said composition is 2:1, and docosahexaenoic acid to bacoside A w/w ratio in said composition is 2:1.
4. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, further comprising (i) at least one carrier, (ii) at least one diluent, and (iii) at least one excipient.
5. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4.
6. A method for inhibiting production of reactive oxygen species, said method comprising the steps:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4; and
b. contacting said composition with a site of reactive oxygen species production,
wherein said method inhibits production of reactive oxygen species.

7. A composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4, for use in preparation of formulations for inhibiting production of reactive oxygen species.
