A Composition Comprising Sulforaphane, Lycopene, And Beta Carotenoid And Uses Thereof
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising antioxidant species for enhanced inhibition of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. The disclosure also provides a method for the same, and formulations for oral ingestion or cosmetic application for inhibition of ROS production.

Specification
CLIAMS:1. A composition comprising:
a. sulforaphane;
b. lycopene; and
c. beta-carotene,
wherein said composition inhibits intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the w/w ratio of beta-carotene:lycopene is 4:1.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the w/w ratio of sulforaphane:beta-carotene and lycopene is in the range of approximately 1:14-1:230.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the w/w ratio of sulforaphane:beta-carotene and lycopene is in the range of approximately 1:30-1:70.
5. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the w/w ratio of sulforaphane:beta-carotene and lycopene is approximately 1:40.
6. A method of inhibiting intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in claim 1; and
b. contacting the composition from (a) with a host.
7. A formulation for oral ingestion comprising a composition as claimed in claim 1.
8. A formulation for cosmetic application comprising a composition as claimed in claim 1.
9. The formulation as claimed in claim 8 or 9, wherein said formulation further comprises suitable diluents, carriers, and excipients.
