Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising oleanolic acid, amino acid, dipeptide, peptide, and plant hormones for enhanced dermal barrier protection and maintenance. The present disclosure also provides a formulation comprising said composition for topical cosmetic application to delay skin aging.

Specification

CLIAMS:1. A composition for enhanced epidermal barrier maintenance and protection, said composition comprising:
a. oleanolic acid;
b. amino acid;
c. dipeptide;
d. peptide; and
e. plant hormones.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the amino acid is L-histidine.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the dipeptide is L-carnosine.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plant hormone is indole acetic acid and kinetin.
5. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the peptide is Ile-Glu-Pro-Asp
6. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the concentration of oleanolic acid is in the range of 0.00005% to 1% (w/w), preferably 0.0001% (w/w).
7. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the concentration of amino acid is in the range of 0.030% to 2.5% (w/w), preferably 0.039% (w/w).
8. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the concentration of dipeptide is in the range of 0.05% to 2.5% (w/w), preferably 0.452% (w/w).
9. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the concentration of peptide is in the range of 0.0001% to 0.001% (w/w), preferably0.0005% (w/w).
10. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the concentration of indole acetic acid is in the range of 0.000002% to 0.00044% (w/w) (provide), preferably0.0001% (w/w).
11. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the concentration of kinetin is in the range of 0.000001% to 0.0001% (w/w) (provide), preferably 0.000019% (w/w).
12. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the w/w ratio of oleanolic acid : amino acid : dipeptide : peptide : indole acetic acid: Kinetin is 1: 390: 4520: 5: 1: 0.19
13. A formulation for topical application comprising the composition as claimed in claim 1, further comprising suitable carriers, excipients or diluents.
