A Contact Assembly For A Blinker Module With Center Push Contact For A Vehicle
Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: “A CONTACT ASSEMBLY FOR A BLINKER MODULE WITH CENTER PUSH CONTACT FOR A VEHICLE” 5 Present disclosure relates to a contact assembly (100) of a blinker module (200) for a vehicle. The assembly (100) comprises a body (104) defined with an opening (114) about a central axis (A-A). A pair of fixed contacts (105) are mounted to the body and are positioned opposite to 10 each other. A plunger (109) having an elongated shaft (109a) at one end and a flange (109b) at an other end is movably disposed in the opening. The plunger is selectively actuated to displace between a first position and a second position. A movable contact (107) is mounted on the plunger. The movable contact is positioned away from the fixed contacts in the first position of the plunger and the movable contact engages with the fixed contacts upon movement of the 15 plunger in the second position. The contact assembly reduces track formation and prevents insulation resistance failure of fixed contacts.
