The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:

Field of the invention-
[0001] The present invention relates to a container for carrying fluids and in particular to a container that carries fluids on a backpack device that provides ease in carrying the container and transporting from one place to the other.
Background of the invention
[0002] In poor countries, people do not have pipes to bring water to their houses and go to collect the water they need from a river, lake, ponds, hand-pump after walking number of miles. In these countries it is most of the women and children who do this work. They use large containers such as pots, buckets, tins, gallons, et cetera to collect the water. In some countries where it is very dry, the women and children spend whole day collecting water and carry it in different ways such as on heads, hips, backs or using a head strap. Collecting water became a very tiring job since the average distance that women and children walk for water in Africa and Asia is six kilometres (3.7 miles). Women carry heavy loads of water (about 20 litres) on their heads in many locations in the world. Apart from carrying loads, the person climbing steep sloppy areas had to put an extra effort to carry the fluid containers and these resulted in severe damage to the neck and spine over time. Even the heavy container weight accounted for pain in the body of a person. The person carrying water containers through jungle and hilly areas are prone to be in contact with reptiles that may harm the person. Many young women also had to carry new born babies in their hand while carrying water containers which caused extra fatigue to such mothers. There were chances of accidents if the person carrying container walks on road in the night time travelling from one place to another.
[0003] Usually people in rural areas fetch water from lakes or ponds with the assistance of any open vessel tied to a rope. The vessel does not have any holding facility and it has to be held usually with one hand at a top end of the container and the other hand at the bottom of the vessel in order to fetch water from lakes or ponds. This causes inconvenience to the holder of the vessel causing it to slip off from the hand at times.
[0004] More recently, backpacks and waist packs which may hold more water (than practical with a water bottle pack) or fluid in a removable soft poly bag, bladder or reservoir internally have become available. The use of backpack devices is known in the prior art. More specifically, backpack devices heretofore devised and utilized for the purpose of transporting items are known to consist basically of familiar, expected and obvious structural configurations, notwithstanding the myriad of designs encompassed by the crowded prior art which have been developed for the fulfilment of countless objectives and requirements. The bag pack device can be seen for small containers as well as large containers.

[0005] Smaller quantities of water carried during sports activities over shoulders, waist, hand and so on are divulged in many prior art patents. There have been many patents in the prior art relating to bag pack devices specifically insulated backpack with drinking liquid container which can be used for providing a transportable drinking fluid container carry able within an insulated backpack whereby the user may drink the fluid through a drinking tube while carrying the backpack. Patent application no US2011290830A1and WO2010077196A1 illustrates one such backpack device as described above. A rubber back water bag is described in Patent no CN201384197Y which is close to the back of the human body and used for transportation of water. Also Bag pack devices are not only used for transporting water but also for storing food and beverage cans. Another patent describes backpack wherein the container is constructed primarily of the insulating material to form a liner member which is designed for receiving ice to keep consumables (food and beverages) cold.

[0006] In these respects, the combination backpack device and fluid container according to the present invention substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of the prior art, and in so doing provide an apparatus primarily developed for the purpose of transporting a water container on the back of a user that is easy to carry without any physical injury with additional benefits focusing on the safety of man and women.

[0007] Our invention addresses this hollowness of the prior art problems inventively.

Objective of the invention-
[0008] The objective is to invent a container that prevents spillage of fluids while transporting fluids from one place to another and controlling the movement of container in the bag pack.

[0009] Another objective is to invent the container having high storage capacity and facilitates the container to stand in upright position.

[0010] Yet another objective is to invent the container that suits human body shape particularly while carrying and walking creating additional comfort.

[0011] Yet another objective is to provide bag pack belt arrangement that can be used on sloppy areas as well as prevents injury.

[0012] Yet another objective is to invent a container that drains fluids easily without contaminating fluids in the process of evacuating the container.

[0013] Yet another objective is to invent container for carrying fluids that is light in weight, at the same time puncture resistant.

[0014] Yet another objective is to provide safety and security measures while travelling from one place to another.

Summary of the Invention

[0015] The present invention is a container for filling fluids enclosed by a backpack device. It comprises a container and a backpack device; along with a spout assembly, a closure for the same and a plurality of reflective strips.

[0016] The container comprises a main body portion having a plurality of panels such as a top panel, a bottom panel, a front panel, a back panel and a plurality of side panels. The container shows the front panel on which there are a plurality of depressions and a plurality of ribs. The function of the plurality of ribs and the plurality of depression on the container is to impart sufficient strength thus allowing the container to stand in upright position with or without the back pack device. Two of the plurality of depression terminates on the top panel of the container to form a plurality of lugs which forms part of the main body portion as a single piece component. A height H and a width W of the lug is proportionate to a height h and a width w of a plurality of front straps that passes under the plurality of lugs, each terminating into a handle. At the base of the front panel, a recess is present on the bottom side of the front panel comprising an aperture in the centre for fixing a spout assembly to the container of the “Aqua Pack” is present.

[0017] The spout assembly comprises a spout, a knob, a filter, a nut bolt and a gasket. The main objective of the spout assembly is to facilitate easy decantation of fluids from the container. The filter in the spout assembly is used to remove lead from drinking water immediately prior to consumption, thus preventing harmful substance from entering the body. It removes contaminants if present in the water and protects the body from disease and leads to overall greater health.

[0018] The container has a back panel to be adhered to the back of a person carrying the container and comprising a back furrow. The back furrow has a C shaped curvature which takes the shape of the back of the user thus creating additional comfort while carrying and travelling and making the container user friendly due to this unique feature of the container.

[0019] Following a neck portion, there is a uniform parallel circular path known as a drain area. The drain area terminates into a transit that facilitates passage of fluids outside the container. This feature is usually helpful when the water overflows or spills from the container leading to wetting of clothes of person while carrying the container and travelling. The transit is functional only when the closure of the “AquaPack” is open or if there is a leakage or spillage from “AquaPack”.

[0020] The container and a back pack device has a top end at the top panel and a bottom end at the bottom panel. The present invention has a holding facility in the form of a groove at said bottom panel to be held by other hand at the bottom end of the container. The groove has a hollow slit at the bottom panel of the container that is approximately of the breadth of a human fist. The groove of the bottom panel is held by one hand and the top end of the top panel is held by other hand. The bottom panel is constructed in a manner that facilitates the container to stand in upright position. This specific design of the container also helps the person to use the container for storage of fluids alone.

[0021] A side panel of the container has a marking scale that denotes the quantity of fluid filled in the container in litres. The marking scale is of great help when the colour of the container is opaque in nature and the person cannot see how much of the fluid or water is left inside the container or as to when should the container be refilled. The top panel of the container has a plurality of threads on a neck portion of the container that is used to fit the closure on it. The closure is used after filling up the water in the container so as to prevent spillage of water from the container while transporting thus preventing loss of water as well as reducing contamination of water while transportation.

[0022] In order to carry the container on the body of a person, a backpack device is designed especially for this container. The backpack device is a hollow fabric bag having a cavity for enclosing said container and said backpack device having said lifting loop joined by a connector, a plurality of front straps, said plurality of reflective strips present on a front side of the back pack device, a plurality of shoulder straps, a plurality of buckles and a whistle.

[0023] Safe ascending and safe descending demand considerable balance control. A backpack device is positioned symmetrically when a load is carried, and the distribution of the load affects body posture and balance with posterior translation of the center of gravity. Once the backpack device is worn on the shoulders, the plurality of front straps can be pulled using hands in the forward direction by a person walking. The user can pull the plurality of front straps which is attached to “Aqua Pack” in a manner parallel to the ground which will bring the container filled with water in forward direction thus modifying the center of gravity of the container and reducing the efforts of the person carrying the container substantially. This could prevent falling injuries during climbing hilly regions or sloppy areas and also prevents back pain when the container filled with water is carried by the person. The plurality of reflective strips on the back pack device glows in the night time, thus preventing accident of person carrying water by moving vehicles in night time.

[0024] To attract attention or to seek help from the people of near vicinity, a whistle is attached to a knuckle at the bottom end of one of the shoulder strap that is attached to the backpack device. Another embodiment of the present invention is attaching a Galton whistle that emits ultrasound frequency. With the help of this whistle, frequencies of the order of 30,000 Hz can be produced. This frequency repels reptiles, lizards, et cetera because they can hear Ultrasonic sound well at a particular Frequency range. Above that, they get irritated continuously and turn away from the path where a person is walking along with the “AQUAPACK”.

[0025] For the purpose of this invention, the container is composed of high quality food grade HDPE material, which makes the container puncture resistant as well as light in weight and easy to carry, but it can be composed of any polymer material giving above desired characteristics.

[0036] The following description of the preferred embodiment is merely exemplary in nature and is in no way intended to limit the invention or its application or uses.

[0037] The present invention is a container for filling fluids enclosed by a backpack device. The arrangement is deployable wherever container for filling fluids are needed, for example, in filling water from remote areas such as wells, lakes, rivers, et cetera. The container for carrying fluids such as water has various benefits as seen from the foregoing description.

[0038] “Aqua Pack” in the present invention is a container for filling fluids enclosed in a back pack device.

[0039] Figure -1 shows an overview of an “Aqua Pack” device, individually referred to as a container (100) and a backpack device (200); along with a spout assembly (76), a closure (10) for the same and a plurality of reflective strips (125).

[0040] The container (100) comprises a main body portion having a plurality of panels such as a top panel (50), a bottom panel (60), a front panel (70), a back panel (80) and a plurality of side panels (90). As shown in Figure-2, the container (100) shows the front panel (70) on which there are a plurality of depressions (73) and a plurality of ribs (74). Each of the plurality of ribs (74) and plurality of depression (73) are located in alternate pattern, vertically and horizontally. The function of the plurality of ribs (74) and the plurality of depression (73) on the container (100) is to impart sufficient strength thus allowing the container to stand in upright position with or without the back pack device (200). Two of the plurality of depression (73) terminates on the top panel (50) of the container (100) to form a plurality of lugs (51). The plurality of lugs (51) forms part of the main body portion as a single piece component. An enlarged view of the single lug from the plurality of lugs (51) is shown in figure-2. A height H and a width W of the lug is proportionate to a height h and a width w of a plurality of front straps (110) that passes under the plurality of lugs (51), each terminating into a handle (121). The dimensions H and W of the lug (51) of the container (100) are greater than dimensions h and w of the plurality of front straps (110). At the base of the front panel (70), a recess (71) is present on the bottom side of the front panel comprising an aperture (72) in the centre of the recess (71) for fixing a spout assembly (76) to the container (100) of the “Aqua Pack” is present.

[0041] The spout assembly (76) is fixed in the aperture (72) of the container (100) as follows. Figure 2a illustrates a side view of a spout assembly (76) that is to be fitted on to aperture (72) of the container (100). The spout assembly (76) comprises a spout (75), a knob (86), a filter (77), a nut bolt (79) and a gasket (78); all of which are assembled to form a spout assembly (76). The main objective of the spout assembly (76) is to facilitate easy decantation of fluids from the container (100). The filter (77) in the spout assembly (76) is used to filter drinking water immediately prior to consumption, thus preventing harmful substance from entering the body. It removes contaminants if present in the water and protects the body from disease and leads to overall greater health. Obtaining contamination free water is an important aspect to be considered in rural areas where water is collected from natural sources of water such as ponds, lakes, tube wells, et cetera. The gasket (78) is provided to be fitted in the spout assembly (76) so as to prevent any leakage of fluid and the nut bolt (79) binding the filter (77), spout (75), gasket (78) and knob (86) together.

[0042] As seen in Figure 2 and Figure 3, the top panel (50) of the container (100) comprising said lugs (51), beneath which there exists a path (51a) for the plurality of front straps (110) to slip in. The container (100) has a back panel (80) to be adhered to the back of a person carrying the container (100) and comprising a back furrow (81). The back furrow (81) has a C shaped curvature which takes the shape of the back of the user thus creating additional comfort while carrying and travelling and making the container (100) user friendly due to this unique feature of the container (100).

[0043] Fig 3 and fig 4 illustrates the top view of the container (100) comprising a neck portion (92) on to which the closure (10) is fitted. Following the neck portion there is a uniform parallel circular path known as a drain area (53). The drain area (53) terminates into a transit (52) that facilitates passage of fluids outside the container (100). This feature is usually helpful when the water overflows or spills from the container (100) leading to wetting of clothes of person while carrying the container (100) and travelling. The transit (52) is functional only when the closure (10) of the “AquaPack” (150) is open or if there is a leakage or spillage of fluids during filling fluids into “AquaPack” (150).

[0044] The container (100) has a top end (63) at the top panel (50) and a bottom end (64) at the bottom panel (60). The present invention has a holding facility in the form of a groove (61) at said bottom panel (60) to be held by other hand at the bottom end (64) of the container (100) as seen in Figure 5. The groove (61) has a hollow slit (62) at the bottom panel (60) of the container that is approximately of the breadth of a human fist. So as the person wants to fill the container (100), he can do it by holding the container (100) with the assistance of a lifting loop (120) by one hand, the other hand gripping the hollow slit (62) in the groove (61) of the bottom panel (60), tilting the container (100) to a particular angle enough to fill the water from the lake, pond, et cetera. A cross sectional view of hollow slit (61a) is shown in figure 5a wherein the groove (61) of the bottom panel (60) is held by one hand and the top end (63) of the top panel (50) is held by other hand. Also the bottom panel (60) is constructed in a manner that facilitates the container (100) to stand in upright position. The bottom panel (60) has plurality of depression (73) and plurality of ribs (74) and its combination contributing to the stiffness of the container (100) thus making the overall container light in weight yet stiff in nature. This specific design of the container (100) also helps the person to use the container (100) for storage of fluids alone.

[0045] The container (100) has a plurality of side panels (90) as shown in Figure 6. A side panel of the container (100) has a marking scale (85) that denotes the quantity of fluid filled in the container (100) in litres. The marking scale is of great help when the colour of the container (100) is opaque in nature and the person cannot see how much of the fluid or water is left inside the container or as to when should the container (100) be refilled. The present invention has been made for about 20 litres of fluid carrying capacity as illustrated in Fig 6; the capacity can be increased or decreased as per convenience. But the ideal weight that an average human can easily carry is taken for the purpose of the present invention. As shown in Figure 6, the top panel (50) of the container (100) has a plurality of threads (91) on a neck portion (92) of the container (100). The threads (91) on the neck of the container (100) are used to fit the closure (10) on it. The closure (10) is used after filling up the water in the container (100) so as to prevent spillage of water from the container (100) while transporting thus preventing loss of water as well as reducing contamination of water while transportation.

[0046] In order to carry the Container (100) on the body of a person, a backpack device (200) is designed especially for this container (100). The backpack device (200) is to be carried on the shoulder of a person while carrying and travelling. As shown in figure 7, the backpack device (200) is a hollow fabric bag having a cavity (105) for enclosing said container (100) and said backpack device (200) having said lifting loop (120) joined by a connector (115), a plurality of front straps (110), said plurality of reflective strips (125) present on a front side of the back pack device (200), a plurality of shoulder straps (135), a plurality of buckles (140) and a whistle (180).

[0047] Figure 7 illustrates said backpack device (200) that comprises a belt arrangement (156) that brings convenience to the user carrying the backpack device (200). The belt arrangement (156) is made such that anyone including man, woman or even a child can carry it conveniently. The belt arrangement (156) detains the container (100) filled with fluid inside the backpack device (200). The belt arrangement (156) comprises of -

• the lifting loop (120) joined by the connector (115) at a first end (63) of the belt arrangement (156) on the backpack device (200),
• the plurality of front straps (110) passing under the plurality of lugs (51) each terminating into said handle (121),
• the plurality of shoulder straps (135); wherein each of the said shoulder straps (135) of the backpack device (200) is joined by said first end (63) and a second end (64), and fixed by a connector (115) wherein said second end (64) is joined by the connector (115) to a bottom end and a back end of the backpack device (200); and
• the plurality of buckles (140)

together functions and assists the user to carry the container (100). The plurality of shoulder straps (135) is to be worn on the shoulder of a person and can be adjustable according to the comfort of the person’s physic. The adjustment is to be done using the plurality of buckles (140) for fastening or loosening the plurality of shoulder straps (135). The lifting loop (120) can be used to hang it on a hook and can be used as a filter assembly that discharges water from the spout assembly (76).

[0048] Safe ascending and safe descending demand considerable balance control. A backpack device (200) is positioned symmetrically when a load is carried, and the distribution of the load affects body posture and balance with posterior translation of the center of gravity. The comfort of a backpack device (200) depends on a combination of the biomechanical effects on the center of mass of the body and the forward-leaning posture. Once the backpack device (200) is worn on the shoulders, the plurality of front straps (110) can be pulled using the plurality of handles (121) in the forward direction by a person walking. The plurality of front straps (110) is of great assistance especially while climbing hilly regions or sloppy areas in rural places or the like. The user can pull the plurality of front straps (110) which is attached to “Aqua Pack” in a manner parallel to the ground which will bring the container (100) filled with water in forward direction thus modifying the center of gravity of the container (100) and reducing the efforts of the person carrying the container (100) substantially. If the container (100) is balanced using a string or the plurality of handles (121) or the plurality of front straps (110), the point at which the container (100) is balanced is the center of gravity. This could prevent falling injuries during climbing hilly regions or sloppy areas and also prevents back pain when the container (100) filled with water is carried by the person. As seen in figure 1, the plurality of reflective strips (125) on the back pack device (200) glows in the night time, thus preventing accident of person carrying water by moving vehicles in night time.

[0049] To facilitate safety among women fetching water from far off areas, there are chances of women feeling unsafe especially at night. While carrying the container the women may feel she is helpless as she already has weight attached to her body hence she cannot fight with a stranger who may pose as a threat to the women in danger. To attract attention or to seek help from the people of near vicinity, a whistle (180) is attached to a knuckle (111) at the bottom end (64) of one of the shoulder strap that is attached to the backpack device (200). The whistle (180) can be used even by any man, woman or child to attract attention from vicinity when he/she finds there is a danger in rural/ jungle area in form of an animal as a threat. Similarly when a fellow person is lost while walking especially at night, the whistle (180) can be blown to indicate the presence of a person in a particular area. Another embodiment of the present invention is attaching a Galton whistle that emits ultrasound frequency. With the help of this whistle (180), high frequencies can be produced. These frequencies repel reptiles, lizards, et cetera because they can hear Ultrasonic sound well at a particular Frequency range. Above that, they get irritated continuously and turn away from the path where a person is walking along with the “AQUAPACK”.

[0050] For the purpose of this invention, the container (100) is composed of high quality food grade HDPE material, which makes the container (100) puncture resistant and does not react with the contents of the container, but it can be composed of any polymer material giving above desired characteristics.
[0051] As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.
[0052] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly arid use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.
[0053] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
