In one aspect relates to a container mountable handle arrangement. The handle is operable between a first extended elongate configuration and a second retracted folded configuration. The said arrangement comprises a first segment (A), a second segment (B) and a third segment (C). The first segment comprises of a first guide groove (D) and an attachment mechanism (K) configured to couple the first segment to the container. The second linear segment (B) is hinged at (L1,L2 & L3) and coupled to the first segment and having a second guide groove (E) and a cavity (F). The third segment (C) comprises of a first insert guide portion (G) configured to be enclosed within the first guide groove (D) of the first segment. The second insert guide portion (H) is configured to be enclosed within the second guide groove (E) of second segment and a third insert pin (I) downwardly extended and configured to be seated lockingly (M) within the cavity (F) of the second segment. The said handle arrangement is novel in the arrangement that third segment slides from first position to second position and vice versa between the first and second segments along the cavity of second segment such that in one position of the third segment the first insert guide portion of the third segment is enclosed within the first guide groove of the first segment, and also the first and second segments are hinged in flush such that the first segment and the second segment are extending continuous abuttingly and cooperatively along an axis thereby forming a long handle extending away from the said container, and in second position of third segment the first insert guide portion of the third segment is retracted away from the first guide groove portion of the first segment and also the second segment is hinged at an angle with respect to first segment such that second segment is substantially collapsed over the first segment and extending inwardly towards the inside of the container.

In the second aspect of the invention, the handle arrangement may include a spring lock arranged in the second guiding groove of the second segment to secure the third segment onto the second segment via a tab formed on third segment surface facing the second segment along an axis.

In third aspect of the invention, the container mountable handle arrangement is such that the first segment and second segment are generally aligned axially in the same plane in the extended unfolded position.

In fourth aspect of the invention, the container mountable handle arrangement is such that the first segment and second segment are generally aligned angularly to each other in the retracted folded position.

In fifth aspect of the invention, the container mountable handle arrangement is such that the third segment is a locking member as it is capable of preventing the folding of the second segment onto the first segment.

In sixth aspect of the invention, the container mountable handle arrangement is such that the third segment is a release member as it is capable of folding the second segment towards the first segment.

In seventh aspect of the invention, the container mountable handle arrangement is such that the third segment is also aligned axially along the same plane as first and second segment.

In eighth aspect of the invention, the container mountable handle arrangement is such that the first segment may be fixedly screwed onto the container.

In ninth aspect of the invention, the container mountable handle arrangement is such that the hinged coupling of first segment and second segment are so arranged that one of the segment shall have female portion and the other segment shall have the male portion. The male and female portions maybe jointed with a lock pin, such that the said lock pin is a hinge type connector between first and second segments.

The tenth aspect of the invention is a container having a container mountable handle arrangement as detailed in the specification and claims.

The present invention has attempted to solve the problems of prior art. The embodiments illustrate a typical circular pan and containers, but the pan/container can be of any shape. The present invention teaches a cookware with a foldable handle so that it can be stored and carried within the confines of the cookware.

The present description provides few embodiments for the purpose of illustration and understanding. All variations and modifications are within the scope and spirit of the invention.
