Abstract: The present invention provides a naturally cooling mechanism of a display assembly (206) of a vehicle (100) by a cooling assembly of the vehicle. The cooling assembly comprises a windshield (102), and first handlebar cover (202). A one or more first opening (302A, 302B) on the windshield (102) is disposed such that the ambient air (A) crossing through the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) passes across the region of the display assembly (206A) of the display assembly (206). Similarly, the second opening of the first handlebar cover (202) is disposed such that the ambient air (A) crossing through the second opening passes around the region of the lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206). Thus present invention enables that the display assembly (206) is optimally cooled and thermal temperature of display assembly (206) in all direction naturally without additional components. Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present subject matter is related, in general to a vehicle, and more particularly, but not exclusively to a cooling assembly of a vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] In a conventional vehicle, a mere purpose of the windshield is to protect the rider from the gust of an ambient wind. The windshield is disposed at a front portion of the vehicle. Further, the vehicle includes an instrument cluster assembly, wherein the instrument cluster assembly is disposed in space upward and rearward to the steering mechanism. The instrument cluster assembly includes a display assembly which displays or projects plurality of vehicle related information to the rider such as vehicle speed, GPS, fuel level, etc. The display assembly comprises plurality of electronic units, which includes a display portion or the upper portion and multiple sensors and wires at a lower portion. The multiple sensors of the display assembly sense various information and displays that information in the display portion for the rider or user of the vehicle. The position of the display assembly is crucial for the rider to easily look at the display assembly, or the projection by the display assembly.
[0003] Typically, in the display unit the plurality of electronic units are disposed off in a compact layout. Generally, the plurality of electronic units generates heat due to battery or any other source over a period of usage. Since the due to compact arrangement of the plurality of electronic units the display assembly eventually heats up. The heating up of the display assembly is a challenge because this could lead to deterioration of functionality of the display assembly, and frequent servicing requirements. Further, the display assembly is an expensive part, due to which frequent replacement or serving is an economically insignificant option. More specifically, on one hand overheating of the display assembly can reduce the life of the display portion and other parts, on the other hand it reduces the reading comfort of the rider, because due to high temperature, the performance of the display portions and information processing reduces which eventually results in poor display of information, such as dimed display portion, which degrades the readability of the display element, causing chances of accidents, discomfort for the rider.
SUMMARY
[0004] According to embodiments of the invention, a cooling assembly of a vehicle, the cooling assembly comprising: a windshield, which is configured at a front portion (F) of the vehicle; a display assembly which is configured to project plurality of information; a first handlebar cover which is configured to house the display assembly at a front portion (F) of the vehicle adjacent to the windshield . The windshield being configured with one or more first opening, and the first handlebar cover is configured with one or more second opening. The first opening, and the second opening are in a vicinity of a portion of the display assembly to direct an ambient air towards the display assembly.
[0005] As per an aspect of the present invention, the cooling assembly the display assembly includes an upper portion, and a lower portion, wherein the upper portion being a displaying portion, and wherein the lower portion include plurality of electronic units to project plurality of information.
[0006] As per an aspect of the present invention, a front portion of the first handlebar cover is configured with the one or more second opening, wherein the front portion of the first handlebar cover being towards the front portion (F) of the vehicle .
[0007] As per an aspect of the present invention, the one or more first opening is configured on a first portion of the windshield, wherein the first portion is disposed adjacent to a display assembly of the display assembly to enable flow of the ambient air (A) towards the display assembly of the display assembly.
[0008] As per an aspect of the present invention, the one or more second opening being disposed below the one or more first opening in the vehicle assembled condition to enable flow of the ambient air (A) towards the lower portion of the display assembly .

[00014] As per an embodiment of the present invention a first handlebar cover of a vehicle, wherein the first handlebar cover being configured to house a display assembly of the vehicle at a front portion of the vehicle. The first handlebar cover being configured with one or more second opening, wherein the one or more second opening being in a vicinity of a portion of the display assembly to direct an ambient air (A) towards the display assembly.
[00015] As per another embodiment of the present invention provides a method to maintain optimum temperature of a display assembly of a vehicle by a cooling assembly of a vehicle. The method comprises the steps of directing, flow of ambient air towards a display portion of the display assembly through a one or more first opening in a windshield of the vehicle and then directing flow of ambient air towards a lower portion of the display assembly through one or more second opening in a first handlebar cover of the vehicle.

However, those skilled in the art will readily appreciate that the detailed descriptions given herein with respect to the figures are simply for explanatory purposes as the methods and systems may extend beyond the described embodiments. For example, the teachings presented and the needs of a particular application may yield multiple alternative and suitable approaches to implement the functionality of any detail described herein. Therefore, any approach may extend beyond the particular implementation choices in the following embodiments described and shown.

[00024] An objective of the present invention is to provide a cooling assembly and a method to maintain optimum temperature of a display assembly of a vehicle by a cooling assembly of the vehicle, naturally in a simple, compact, efficient, economical, while ensuring no significant deviations in existing layout of other components of the vehicle.
[00025] The display assembly is an electronic part, therefore over a period of usage during vehicle operation the display assembly tends to generate heat. Hence the air around the region of the display assembly tends to get heated up. The vehicle more specifically, a compact vehicle such as a two wheeled vehicle is covered by plurality of body panels. The body panels create a compact region surrounding the display assembly, due to which the heated air is not able to easily escape to the atmosphere. This leads to trapping of the heated air at the region near the display assembly. The trapping of the heated air tends to aggravates to the temperature of the display assembly. Thus, it is important to enable optimum cooling mechanism of the display assembly. However, it is equally important to provide a natural way of cooling mechanism without additional parts or cooling means while ensuring no significant deviations in existing layout of other components of the vehicle.
[00026] As per known state of art, to maintain an optimum temperature of the display assembly, plurality of additional cooling mechanisms is supplementary to the display assembly. However, additional cooling mechanisms tends to increase the cost, weight, and manufacturing complexity of the vehicle. The additional part for cooling mechanisms is major challenge for compact vehicle such as a two wheeled vehicle.
[00027] Thus, keeping in view the above-mentioned challenges the present invention provides a cooling assembly of a vehicle comprising a windshield, and a first handlebar cover. The windshield prevent the rider from the gust of the oncoming wind. The vehicle also includes a display assembly which projects plurality of information relating vehicle and surrounding to the rider. The display assembly is housed in a first handlebar cover of the handlebar cover assembly and adjacent to the windshield. To maintain optimum temperature of the display assembly, the cooling assembly provide the windshield with a one or more first opening, and the first handlebar cover is configured with one or more second opening. The one or more first opening and the one or more second opening is disposed in a vicinity to a portion of the display assembly. The one or more first opening and the one or more second opening allows ambient air or oncoming air to pass through the opening, such that the ambient air directly hits various portion of the display assembly and passes across the region surrounding the display assembly.
[00028] As per an aspect of the present invention, the display assembly includes an an upper portion, and a lower portion. The upper portion is a display portion where the information is displayed or projected. The lower portion of the display assembly includes plurality of sensors, wires etc. As per an aspect of the present invention, the one or more first opening on the windshield is disposed such that the ambient air crossing through the one or more first opening passes around the region of the upper portion of the display assembly. Similarly, the second opening of the first handlebar cover is disposed such that the ambient air crossing through the second opening passes around the region of the lower portion of the display assembly. The ambient air crossing through the upper portion region and the lower portion region enables escaping of the trapped hot air surrounded in the region of the display assembly. The one or more second opening is disposed on a front portion of the first handlebar cover. Thus, the positioning of the one or more second opening is adjacent to the lower portion of the display assembly. The one or more first opening on the windshield is disposed at first portion of the windshield. The first portion of the windshield is disposed at a vicinity or adjacent to the upper portion of the display assembly.
[00029] As per as aspect of the present invention, the one or more first opening of the windshield is disposed above the one or more second opening, such that the upper portion of the display assembly and the lower portion of the display assembly gets appropriately cooled without additional components.
[00030] As per yet another aspect of the present invention, the one or more first opening are one or more slots, which extends in vehicle width direction. Further the one or more first opening is formed integral to the windshield.
[00031] As per yet another object of the present invention, the one or more second opening comprise plurality of opening which have circular profiles. The one or more second opening are integral to the first handlebar cover. The one or more second opening on a left side of the first handlebar cover are positioned in first pattern, and the one or more second opening on the right side of the first handlebar cover are positioned in a second pattern. The first pattern and the second patter are a mirror image of each other. This feature advantageously provides efficient cooling to whole display assembly from all directions.
[00032] The aforesaid and other advantages of the present subject matter would be described in greater detail in conjunction with the figures & embodiment in the following description.
[00033] Figure 1 illustrates a vehicle (100) in accordance with an example of some embodiments of the present disclosure. The figure shows a side perspective view of a scooter type vehicle (100), hereinafter called as vehicle (100). The vehicle (100) has a front portion (F) and a rear portion (R). As per an embodiment, an axis (AA’) divides the vehicle (100) in to the front portion (F) and the rear portion (R) The vehicle (100) comprises, a headlamp assembly (104) a handlebar assembly (108), a windshield (102), a seat assembly (106) capable of supporting a rider and a pillion rider. The headlamp assembly (104) is covered by a front panel (110) of the vehicle (100). The windshield (102) prevents the rider from the gust of the oncoming wind. The handlebar assembly (108) is provided for comfortable steering of the vehicle (100). The handlebar assembly (108) is covered by a handlebar cover assembly (not shown) The vehicle (100) also includes a display assembly (206) (shown in fig. 2) which is configured to display or project plurality of information such as vehicle speed, level of fuel, etc.
[00034] Figure 2 illustrates a illustrates a side view of the cooling assembly and the display assembly of a vehicle in accordance with an example of some embodiments of the present disclosure. The cooling assembly of a vehicle comprises a windshield (102), and a first handlebar cover (202). The first handlebar cover (202) is disposed at the front portion (F) of the vehicle (100) to cover a portion of the handlebar assembly (108). As per an aspect of the present invention, the lower periphery of the first handlebar cover (202) overlaps (not shown) a portion of the front panel (110, shown in fig. 1). The first handlebar cover (202) is configured with mounting provisions (204) to mount the windshield (102) through plurality of mounting means (304, shown in Fig. 3). Further, the first handlebar cover (202) is configured to mount the display assembly (206) at a front portion (F) of the vehicle (100) wherein the display assembly (206) projects plurality of information such as vehicle related information or surrounding information. As per yet another embodiment, the first handlebar cover (202) houses the display assembly (206). The location of the display assembly (206) is crucial to display the information to meet the ergonomic requirements of the rider. More precisely the display assembly (206) is disposed behind the windscreen of the vehicle (100) i.e., towards the rider such that the rider can view the information in a quick and comfortable way. As per an embodiment, the display assembly (206) is a head up display assembly which is configured to project plurality of information relating vehicle (100) on a surface such as the windshield (102). The figure 2 also demonstrates that the display assembly (206) includes an upper portion (206A), and a lower portion (206B). The upper portion (206A) is a display portion where the plurality of information is displayed or projected. The lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206) includes plurality of sensors, wires etc. which enables the display assembly (206) to project the plurality of information.
[00035] To maintain optimum temperature of the display assembly (206), the windshield (102) and the first handlebar cover (202) is configured to direct flow of ambient air (A) towards significant portions of the display assembly (206). The first handlebar cover (202) comprises one or more second opening (402) to direct flow of ambient air (A). The naturally cooling mechanism of the display assembly (206) in detail is elaborated in the following paragraphs.
[00036] Figure 3 illustrates a left perspective view of a windshield (102) of a vehicle (100) in accordance with an example of some embodiments of the present disclosure. The windshield (102) is mounted to the first handlebar cover (202) through plurality of mounting means (304). To enables flow of ambient air (A) or oncoming air towards the display assembly (206) of the display assembly (206) the windshield (102) is configured with a one or more first opening (302A, 302B) at first portion of the windshield (102). The first portion of the windshield (102) is disposed at a vicinity or adjacent to the upper portion (206A) of the display assembly (206). The one or more first opening (302A, 302B) is disposed to direct the flow of the ambient air (A) directly without hindrance towards the upper portion (206A) of the display assembly (206). In other words, the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) on the windshield (102) is disposed such that the ambient air (A) crossing through the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) passes around the region of the upper portion (206A) of the display assembly (206). Thus, the trapped heated air around the upper portion (206A) region of the display assembly (206) is carried away or flew away from the display assembly (206). As per an embodiment of the present invention, the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) are one or more slots, which extends in vehicle (100) width direction. As per yet another embodiment, the profile or shape of the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) is a quadrilateral shaped which allows enough ambient air (A) towards the upper portion (206A). As per an embodiment, the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) is formed integral to the windshield (102).
[00037] Figure 4 illustrates a left perspective view of a first handlebar cover (202) of a vehicle (100) in accordance with an example of some embodiments of the present disclosure. The first handlebar cover (202) is configured to direct flow of ambient air (A) towards a lower portion (206B) of the display assembly, such that the heated air around the region of the lower portion (206B) is carried away by the ambient air (A) or oncoming air naturally. The first handlebar cover (202) is configured with one or more second opening (402). The one or more second opening (402) is disposed in a vicinity to the lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206). The one or more second opening (402) allows ambient air (A) or oncoming air to pass through these opening, such that the ambient air (A) directly passes across the lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206). Thus, the ambient air (A) crossing the lower portion (206B)region enables escaping of the trapped hot air surrounded in the region of the lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206). The one or more second opening (402) is disposed on a front portion of the first handlebar cover (202), wherein the front portion is towards the front portion (F) of the vehicle (100). Thus, the positioning of the one or more second opening (402) is adjacent to the lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206). As per as aspect of the present invention, the one or more second opening (402) are disposed below the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) of the windshield (102), such that the upper portion (206A) of the display assembly (206) and the lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206) gets appropriately cooled naturally through ambient air (A).
[00038] As per yet another object of the present invention, the one or more second opening (402) comprise plurality of opening which have circular profiles or oval shaped profiles. The one or more second opening (402) are integral to the first handlebar cover (202). Further, the first handlebar cover (202) comprises a left side, and a right side as per the central axis DD’ of the first handlebar cover (202). The one or more second opening (402) on a left side of the first handlebar cover (202) are positioned in first pattern (B), and the one or more second opening (402) on the right side of the first handlebar cover (202) are positioned in a second pattern(C). The first pattern (B) and the second pattern (C) are a mirror image to each other. This enables to allow the flow of ambient air (A) towards the left side and the right side evenly, and provides with enhanced aesthetic appearance of the front portion first handlebar cover (202). Thus present invention advantageously provides efficient cooling of whole display assembly (206) from all directions.
[00039] The present invention advantageously enables that the cooling assembly is optimally cools and maintains a thermal temperature of display assembly (206) in all direction by one or more one or more first opening (302A, 302B) in the windshield (102), and the one or more second opening (402) in a first handlebar cover (202) of the vehicle (100). Since, the temperature of the display assembly (206) is maintained naturally without additional components, thus the complexity of manufacturing, compactness, handleability of vehicle (100) is ensure without altering the layout of other components of the vehicle (100). The optimum temperature also ensures that the performance of the display assembly (206) is durable, thereby eliminating the need of frequent servicing.
[00040] Moreover, since the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) and the one or more second opening (402) are slots and plurality of openings, in the windshield (102), and the first handlebar cover (202) of the vehicle (100) respectively, the material cost of the vehicle is reduced significantly. Thus, the present invention provides an economically significant cooling mechanism of a display assembly (206) of the vehicle (100). Further, since the material is reduced the overall weight of the vehicle (100) is reduced, therefore enhancing comfort in riding, and handling the vehicle (100).
[00041] In light of the above-mentioned advantages and the technical advancements provided by the disclosed method and system, the claimed steps as discussed above are not routine, conventional, or well understood in the art, as the claimed steps enable the following solutions to the existing problems in conventional technologies. Further, the claimed steps clearly bring an improvement in the functioning of the device itself as the claimed steps provide a technical solution to a technical problem.

1. A cooling assembly of a vehicle (100), the cooling assembly comprising:
a windshield (102), said windshield (102) being configured at a front portion (F) of the vehicle (100);
a first handlebar cover (202), the first handlebar cover (202) being configured to house a display assembly (206) of the vehicle (100) at a front portion (F) of the vehicle (100) adjacent to the windshield (102);
the display assembly (206) being configured to project plurality of information (100);
wherein the windshield (102) being configured with one or more first opening (302A, 302B), and the first handlebar cover (202) being configured with one or more second opening (402),
wherein the first opening (302A, 302B), and the second opening (402) being in a vicinity of a portion of the display assembly (206) to direct an ambient air (A) towards the display assembly (206).

The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the display assembly (206) includes an upper portion (206A), and a lower portion (206B), wherein the upper portion (206A) being a displaying portion, and wherein the lower portion (206B) include plurality of electronic units to enable projecting plurality of information.

The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein a front portion of the first handlebar cover (202) being configured with the one or more second opening (402), wherein the front portion of the first handlebar cover (202) being towards the front portion (F) of the vehicle (100).

The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) being configured on a first portion of the windshield (102), wherein the first portion being disposed adjacent to a display assembly (206A) of the display assembly (206) to enable flow of the ambient air (A) towards the display assembly (206A) of the display assembly (206).

The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more second opening (402) being disposed below the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) in the vehicle (100) assembled condition to enable flow of the ambient air (A) towards the lower portion (206B) of the display assembly (206).

6. The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) comprises one or more slots wherein the one or more slots extends in a vehicle (100) width direction.

7. The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein one or more second opening (402) comprise plurality of circular or oval profiled opening.

The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more second opening (402) on a left side of the first handlebar cover (202) being positioned in first pattern (B), and the one or more second opening (402) on the right side of the first handlebar cover (202) positioned in a second pattern (C), wherein the first pattern (B) and the second pattern (C) being a mirror image of each other.

9. The cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more first opening (302A, 302B) and one or more second opening (402) being integrally formed with the windshield (102), and the first handlebar cover (202) respectively.

10. A windscreen (102) of a vehicle (100), the windscreen (102) being disposed at a front portion (F) of the vehicle (100), and the windscreen (102) being disposed adjacent to a display assembly (206) of the vehicle (100)
wherein the windshield (102) being configured with one or more first opening (302A, 302B) in a vicinity of a portion of the display assembly (206) to direct an ambient air (A) towards the display assembly (206).

11. A first handlebar cover (202) of a vehicle (100),
the first handlebar cover (202) being configured to house a display assembly (206) of the vehicle (100) at a front portion (F) of the vehicle (100);
wherein the first handlebar cover (202) being configured with one or more second opening (402), wherein the one or more second opening (402) being in a vicinity of a portion of the display assembly (206) to direct an ambient air (A) towards the display assembly (206).

12. A method to maintain optimum temperature of a display assembly (206) of a vehicle (100) by a cooling assembly of the vehicle (100), wherein the method comprises the steps of:
directing, flow of ambient air (A) towards an display assembly (206A) of the display assembly (206) through one or more first opening (302A, 302B) in a windshield (102) of the vehicle (100);

directing, flow of ambient air (A) towards a lower portion (206B)of the display assembly (206) through one or more second opening (402) in a first handlebar cover (202) of the vehicle (100).
