PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
This invention relates to the field of mechanical fixtures, mechanical assemblies, and mechanical engineering.
Particularly, this invention relates to a core clamping yoke assembly with strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener).
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
In order to hold or clamp cores of a transformer, there are clamping structures for cores of a transformer. These may be metal or steel structures.
Typically, a core clamping assembly holds the core and windings. It comprises a top yoke plate and a bottom yoke plate, spaced apart, rigidly. According to the prior art, this spacing apart may be done by means of tie rods. The tie rods are affixed to the yoke plates by means of welded claws or clamps. This single strip which forms the tie rod is a relatively expensive proposition.
Hence, there is a need for an inexpensive and robust stiffener fixture.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
An object of the invention is to provide a stiffener fixture to space apart two yokes.
Another object of the invention is to provide a multi-strip stiffener fixture to space apart two yokes.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a stiffener fixture which does not require laser cutting procedures in manufacturing or assembling.

Still another object of the invention is to provide a stiffener fixture which is relatively cheaper in cost.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
According to this invention, there is provided a strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) for spacing apart two plates, said strip flitch plate being a multi-strip assembly comprises:
a. at least two elongate strips placed adjacent each other; and
b. end plates adapted to hold ends of adjacent said at least two elongate strips
in a joint manner, said end plates being provided at both longitudinal ends, at
one side of said strips.
According to this invention, there is also provided a core clamping yoke assembly with a strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) for spacing apart an operative top yoke plate and an operative bottom yoke plate, said strip flitch plate being a multi-strip assembly comprises:
A. at least two elongate strips placed adjacent each other;
B. end plates adapted to hold ends of adjacent said at least two elongate strips
in a joint manner, said end plates being provided at both longitudinal ends, at
one side of said strips; and
C. first clamp adapted to be located on said top yoke plate to receive one end
plate and second clamp adapted to be located on said bottom yoke plate to
receive other end plate.
Typically, said at least two elongate strips are wooden strips or metal strips.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:
Figure 1 illustrates a frame of the core clamping assembly of the prior art.
The invention will now be described in relation to the accompanying drawings, in
which:
Figure 2 illustrates a schematic isometric front view of a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention;
Figure 3 illustrates a schematic isometric back view of a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention;
Figure 4 illustrates a schematic isometric side view of a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention; and
Figure 5 illustrates a schematic isometric view of a frame of the core clamping assembly with a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:
The frame of the core clamping assembly is shown in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings. The clamping assembly comprises a top yoke plate (16a) and a bottom yoke plate (16b) such that they line up over and below windings respectively. The bottom yoke plate (16b) comprises support plates of metal or Mild Steel in order to provide bottom support to each of the windings. Even the top yoke plate and bottom yoke plate are of metal or Mild Steel. Tie rods (12) are used to space apart the top yoke plate (16a) from the bottom yoke plate (16b).

According to this invention, there is provided a strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) (100).
According to this invention, there is provided a core clamping yoke assembly with strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) (100).
Figure 2 illustrates a schematic isometric front view of a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention,
Figure 3 illustrates a schematic isometric back view of a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention.
Figure 4 illustrates a schematic isometric side view of a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention.
Figure 5 illustrates a schematic isometric view of a frame of the core clamping assembly with a strip flitch plate or limb stiffener in accordance with this invention.
In accordance with an embodiment of this invention, there are provided at least two elongate strips (100a, 100b) placed adjacent each other. The adjacent strips may be wooden strips or metal strips.
According to the Strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) fabrication process, material, as per width required, and as per length required, is cut. Then the limb material is straightened. The flitch plate is set to yoke clamper.

In accordance with another embodiment of this invention, there are provided end plates (102) adapted to hold ends of adjacent said at least two elongate strips in a joint manner. These end plates are provided at both longitudinal ends, at one side of the strips.
In accordance with yet another embodiment of this invention, there are provided clamps to receive the end plates of the Strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener). One clamp is located on the top yoke plate (16a). Another clamp is located on the bottom yoke plate (16b).
The technical advance of this invention lies in providing a Strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) which is more robust and eliminates the procedure of laser cutting. It is a multi-strip stiffener fixture adapted to space apart two yokes in a relatively inexpensive manner.
While this detailed description has disclosed certain specific embodiments of the present invention for illustrative purposes, various modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art which do not constitute departures from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the following claims, and it is to be distinctly understood that the foregoing descriptive matter is to be interpreted merely as illustrative of the invention and not as a limitation.

We claim,
1. A strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) for spacing apart two plates, said strip
flitch plate being a multi-strip assembly comprising:
a. at least two elongate strips placed adjacent each other; and
b. end plates adapted to hold ends of adjacent said at least two elongate
strips in a joint manner, said end plates being provided at both
longitudinal ends, at one side of said strips.
2. A strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) as claimed in claim 1 wherein, said at least two elongate strips are wooden strips or metal strips.
3. A core clamping yoke assembly with a strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) for spacing apart an operative top yoke plate and an operative bottom yoke plate, said strip flitch plate being a multi-strip assembly comprising:
A. at least two elongate strips placed adjacent each other;
B. end plates adapted to hold ends of adjacent said at least two elongate
strips in a joint manner, said end plates being provided at both
longitudinal ends, at one side of said strips; and
C. first clamp adapted to be located on said top yoke plate to receive one
end plate and second clamp adapted to be located on said bottom yoke
plate to receive other end plate.
4. A core clamping yoke assembly with a strip Flitch Plate (Limb Stiffener) as
claimed in claim 3 wherein, said at least two elongate strips are wooden
strips or metal strips.
