A Cutter Assembly For And A Method Of Cutting A Moving Tubular Flat Fabric
Abstract: Abstract: 5 A cutter assembly (3b) and a method to cut moving tubular flat fabric (4) into two fabric layers (4a and 4b) through longitudinal smooth cutting is disclosed. The cutter assembly (3b) incorporates a linear bush (19) at its two ends. The linear bush (19) comprises an aluminium housing equipped with an array of steel balls and has smooth linear reciprocating movement as well as rolling contact on a 10 single guide rod (18). During the process of cutting of the tubular flat fabric (4), whenever there is change in the width of the fabric, a cutter (10) equipped with heater along with a cutter guide (14) provided in the cutter assembly (3b) slides on a second connecting plate (21) to adjust itself as per the actual width of the tubular flat fabric (4). The second connecting plate (21), the cutter guide (14) a second 15 connecting rod (22) form an integral unit.
