Specification

The present invention is a cylinder valve with replaceable cartridge and more particularly, to the valve in which tightening of the cartridge is done from inside with the tool designed at specific torque on the valve body that avoids malfunction or tampering of the valve.
Background of the invention
Conventional valves are having the valve body in a single piece and thus evacuation of cylinder is not possible because in several cases, poppet in the outlet connection gets damaged /deshaped while in use. Hence, a safety problem arises as cylinders are filled with LPG and these cylinders cannot be kept for a long time.
In case of a malfunction in the valve decanting or evacuation provision is not there and as a result user cannot remove or fill the cylinder. Decantation is possible only by damaging the valve which is not safe. If the pin of the valve gets damaged in a filled cylinder then there is no safe way to empty the cylinder. Only way to evacuate the cylinder is by risking removing the valve of filled cylinder or damage the valve. Both conditions are dangerous.

The present invention is developed to overcome the limitations of the conventional valves, and provide a valve with a replaceable cartridge which is tightened with a tool designed at specific torque on the valve body.
Objectives of the Invention
The prime objective of the present invention is to provide a valve with a replaceable cartridge which is tightened with a tool designed at specific torque on the valve body.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide the valve which can be reused with a cylinder after evacuation of LPG, in a safe way.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide the valves for the cylinders with the concern of increasing safety and inventory of valve/cylinders will be less.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide the valves for the cylinders which are cost effective and also saves time and space.

These and other objectives of the present invention will be apparent from the drawings and descriptions herein. Every object of the invention is attained by at least one embodiment of the invention. However, no embodiment necessarily meets every object set forth herein.
Brief Description of Drawings
The drawings described herein are for illustrative purposes only of selected embodiments and not all possible implementations, and are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
Figure 1 represents a valve of the present invention.
Figure 2 represents a cartridge assembly for an outlet.
Figure 3 represents an outlet valve.
Corresponding reference numerals indicate corresponding parts throughout the several views of the drawings.
Detailed description of the invention:
The following is a detailed description of exemplary embodiments to illustrate the principles of the invention. The embodiments are provided to illustrate aspects of the invention, but the invention is not limited to any embodiment. The scope of the

invention encompasses numerous alternatives, modifications and equivalent; it is limited only by the claims.
Numerous specific details are set forth in the following description in order to provide a thorough understanding of the invention. However, the invention may be practiced according to the claims without some or all of these specific details. For the purpose of clarity, technical material that is known in the technical fields related to the invention has not been described in detail so that the invention is not unnecessarily obscured.
An aspect of the present invention is directed towards a valve with a replaceable cartridge which is tightened with a tool designed at specific torque on the valve body.
Embodiment of the present invention is a cylinder valve with a replaceable cartridge which includes a valve body (1), a connector (2), a poppet (7), a cartridge assembly for an outlet (25), a plurality of rings (4,5,6,13) for example one type is rubber 'o' ring, and a hand wheel (11) which are assembled as shown in figure 1. The valve body comprises rubber washer (3) , rubber gasket (8), spring (9 and 23), check nut (10) , lock pin (12), piston (14), valve seal (15), adjustment nut (16), safety spring (17), packing holder (18), rubber packing (19), EFD body (20), EFD screw (21), EFD block (22), and pipe (24).

Figure 2 represents a cartridge assembly for outlet. This includes acme connector (2), rubber washer (3), rubber O rings (4, 5 and 6), a poppet (7), rubber gasket (8), spring (9) and check nut (10). And figure 3 represents an outlet valve.
In a preferred embodiment, the materials used for the valve is brass and the materials used for sealing and assembly are rubber and nylon.
The piston (14) as shown in figure 1 is to close/open the liquid port, the springs (9 and 17) are to control and restrict the flow of air or liquid in the valve, the rubber 'o' ring, rubber gasket and valve seal (3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 13, 19 & 15) are used for leak proof sealing in the valve, the check nut (10) is used to guide and restrict the motion of the poppet (7), the hand wheel (11) is to provide a motion to the piston (14) in clockwise and anticlockwise direction, the lock pin (12) is for locking purpose so that the piston (14) does not come out from assembly, the EFD Assembly (20, 21, 22) is to restrict the flow of LPG up to certain specified limit of withdrawal, and the pipe (24) is to withdraw the LPG from cylinder.
The present invention saves the valve and the cylinder as the user can reuse the valve and cylinder after evacuation of LPG. Also, the cartridge can be replaced and thus the valve need not to be removed from the cylinder.
