Abstract: "A detachable plough lamp mounted on fender rear side of tractor" This invention relates to a detachable plough lamp mounted on fender rear side of tractor comprising a spring loaded ball lock pin connecting detachably bottom mounting bracket and top lamp body. The plough lamp can be used as a light source for various purposes listed hereinbelow:- For lighting purpose during stationary operations. For repairing minor and major faults in tractor in low visibility Lighting in home at night. Changing Implements during field operations. Loading/ Unloading trailer during night time.
FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to a detachable plough lamp. This can be used as a light
source to work in and around tractor in low light or at nigh time.
BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART
In tractors' plough lamp' is an electrical device which is fitted on to the fender
rear side and used as a light source to see field/land behind the tractor in low
visibility field operations. Reference may be made to fig. 1, wherein plough lamp
(1) with lamp lens (2) is generally fured onto fender (7) with bolt and nut
arrangement. It can only swivel about its mounting (4) to adjust the light beam
in rear side .of tractor. Plough lamp power is supplied through battery and
connected to a switch (3) which can cut off power supply as and when required.
It is generally used when tractor is in running condition so that operator is able
to see land behind being ploughed through various implements.
The Plough lamp assembly adjacent to fender lamp (5) is bolted onto the
fender. Said lamp consists of 12V -55W bulb connected with a harness (6)
through fender. Said Lamp is operated by toggle switch which is fixed onto
body of lamp.
Figure 1A shows Lamp assembly mounting which is a bracket (B) bolted by two
bolts. Body of lamp is connected with this bracket in the middle with M12 bolt
and nylon washers. This joint allows lamp to swivel in left-right direction (L).
The horizontal hinge connected with lamp body allows Up and down
movement (U) of the lamp thereby providing different orientations depending on
the requirement. Thus, it can be used for only one purpose.
In the present invention a detachable plough lamp is provided by which plough
lamp is not rigidly fixed onto the fender but can be detached from the fender as
and when required for use as a light source to work in and around tractor for
other purposes as well.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a detachable plough
lamp which overcomes disadvantages associated with the prior art(s).
Another object of the present invention is to provide a detechable plough lamp
which is simple in construction and reliable.
Further object of the present invention is to provide a detachable plough lamp
which is efficient and can be used for multipurpose.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided a detachable plough lamp
mounted on fender rear side of tractor comprising a spring loaded ball lock pin
connecting detachably bottom mounting bracket and top lamp body.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from
the ensuing description when read in conjunction with the accompanying
drawings and wherein:
Fig. 1 shows: conventional plough lamp.
Fig. 1A shows: conventional plough lamp mounting
Fig. 2 shows: plough lamp and its mounting in accordance with present
invention.
Fig. 3 shows: connectivity between male and female coupler.
Fig. 4 shows: box containing extension wire used in the present invention.
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE
ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The present invention discloses a detachable plough lamp mounted on fender
rear side of tractor.
Now, reference may be made to fig. 2, wherein the lamp comprising a spring
loaded ball lock pin (I), which detachably connects bottom mounting bracket
(2) with top lamp body (3). Said lamp body is having a handle (4) to make it
portable. .
Lock pin comprises of two balls loaded on spring which can be pressed while
inserting and taking out the pin from bracket. A toggle switch (5) is provided for
switching on/off. A bush with hole is bolted with the lower bracket which
allows rotational movement of the lamp. The upper hinge allows Up-Down
movement of the lamp. Harness (6) is split between two halves connected with
male and female coupler (1 and 2) as shown in fig. 3. The harness couplers are
easily detachable. The complete set-up allows plough lamp to be detached from
the fender for using at some other place. An extension wire is provided to
connect it through power source. Additional box as shown in fig. 4 is attached
to the plough lamp mounting for keeping extension wire when not in use. Box
can be locked to prevent extension wire from theft and also from rain water and
dust.
In the present invention, a detachable plough lamp is provided by which the
lamp is not rigidly fixed onto the fender (F) but can be detached from the fender
as and when required for use as a light source to work in and around tractor
for other purposes as well.
Plough lamp is tied with a spring loaded ball lock pins which can detach and
re-attach it quickly as and when required. Also there is extension wire with
quick release electrical connector for using Plough lamp as a light source to
work around or near the tractor.
The plough lamp mounting makes the lamp detachable with the help of the
lock pin arrangement. The handle at the top of lamp makes it portable.
The Plough Lamp can be used not only for viewing field operations behind the
tractor but can also be used for servicing or carrying out other repairs in and
around the tractor.
Thus, the detachable plough lamp of the present invention can be used without
any tool and it can also be used as a light source for various purposes viz.
For lighting purpose during stationary operations.
For repairing minor and major faults in tractor in low visibility.
Lighting in home at night.
a Changing Implements during field operations.
Loading/ Unloading trailer during night time.
It is to be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications,
adaptations and changes by those skilled in the art. Such variant embodiments
employing the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within
