Abstract: A unidirectional acoustic locomotive alarming system with unidirectional sound envelop is disclosed which is capable of transmitting high intensity acoustic waves at distance of several hundred meters in the direction of travel. This system comprises of acoustic directional beam generating transducers with directivity horns to focus the sound waves and audio amplifiers , audio player ,electronic processor, operator control panel and a Global positioning system . The comprised system directs an acoustic beam carrying an intelligent audio signal to alarm track intruders at several hundred meters ahead of locomotive. The acoustic beam thus generated has directivity and coherency which travels at far off locations with desired sound pressure levels. It is hence able to alert any intruder on tracks and provides it ample reaction time to vacate the tracks.
