Abstract: A device tor cutting oft electric power supply to a circuit tor protection against excessive heat generated therein during operation comprising at feast one conductor carrying the current supplied to or received from, the bound together by a thermally tusible member, so that the said portions are in firm electrical contact with each other; at least one resilient member cfosefy focated with respect to the said split portions, said resilient member under its inherent resilient force, whereby whenever the said fusible member melts under heat of the conductor, of a predetermined magnitude, the split portions are released from the binding force of the fusibte member and, simultaneously thrust apart by the force of the resilient member, in a positive action, to break the electrical contact between the said portions and thus immediately cut off electric power to the circuit.
This invention relates to a device for cutting off electric power to a circuit for protection against excessive heat generated therein during operation.
