A Device For Disassembling The Stator And Rotor Of An External Rotor Brushless Dc Motor

Abstract: A device for disassembling the stator and rotor of an external rotor brushless DC motor. The device (1) comprises a pair of spaced apart vertical support members (4a, 4b) extending through engaging holes (5a, 5b and 7a, 7b) at the ends of a bottom support plate (6) and a top support plate (8) respectively disposed in vertically spaced apart relationship with each other. A plurality of fasteners (9a, 9b and I Oa, I Ob) are provided for height adjustably fastening the bottom support plate and top support plate to the vertical support members. The vertical support members each has an arcuate clamping element (11) height adjustably fixed to the lower end thereof. The arcuate clamping elements are adapted to clamp against the outer surface of the external rotor (3) of the brushless DC motor. A disengaging screw (14) passes through engaging holes (15, 16) in the bottom support plate and top support plate at the center thereof in thread engagement with an engaging nut (17) mounted on one of the plates. The lower end of the disengaging screw is adapted to engage against the shaft (18) of the motor and the upper end of the disengaging screw is provided with an operating handle (19) (Fig 3).

PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the invention

This invention relates to a stator pulling device for BLDC motor and method of pulling the same.
In Prior art, there is no such device to pull out a stator assembly from rotor housing of BLDC Motor. It was removed manually. Due to magnetic flux of the rotor it was very difficult to remove the stator assembly as it attracts towards the magnetic rotor.
Conventional method needed a highly skilled labor and processing time is also higher to remove a stator assembly from rotor housing. Also there are high no of rejection of stators due to damage in stator winding and the damaged stator assembly will have to re-wind again. This also consume time, cost.
In US6401326 Patent discloses the movable hoisting unit which contains frame and gripping device to hold the stator laminated core for mounting stator coils, but its attached with press machine to press/assemble the coil onto the stator laminated core and very complex structure. In JP7068344 patent discloses the Jig with two arm members for lifting the cylindrical body such as frame for casting which are different from the proposed invention.
An object of the invention is to provide a stator pulling device for BLDC motor and method of pulling the same to remove the stator assembly from rotor housing of a BLDC motor to save manpower cost and increase the productivity
2

An object of the invention is to provide a stator pulling device for BLDC motor and method of pulling the same which takes comparatively very less time.
An object of the invention is to provide a stator pulling device for BLDC motor and method of pulling the same which prevent damage of stator assembly.
An object of the invention is to provide a simple process to remove the stator assembly from rotor housing of a BLDC motor.
According to the invention there is provided a stator pulling device for BLDC motor and method of pulling the same which comprising a handle assembly, guide plate assembly, plurality of side guide stud and clamp assembly.
In accordance to the present invention, said handle assembly comprises a centre stud and lock nut which passes through both the guide plate.
In accordance to the present invention, said handle assembly comprises a handle and threaded stud which rotate manually to push stator assembly.
In accordance to the present invention, said guide plate assembly comprises a top plate, bottom plate and plurality of lock nuts to hold the plate against guide rod, wherein top plate will be fixed to side guide stud and bottom plate will be adjusted to suit the stator assembly.
3

In accordance to the present invention, said guide studs provides to the lift the clamp which will be attached to the rotor housing of BLDC motor.
In accordance to the present invention, said clamp which attached to the rotor housing of BLDC motor.
In accordance to the present invention, said clamp which hold the rotor housing of BLDC motor.
In accordance to the present invention, said clamp which may be any shape which provide griping, for example "C" shape which make strong grip between clamp and rotor housing and pull the rotor housing.
In accordance to the present invention, to remove or to pull out the stator assembly from rotor housing of BLDC motor. First the centre stud will have to align at the centre of stator shaft and 'C clamp at the rotor housing outer diameter and set the top and bottom plate by means of locking nuts. Afterward the centre stud will have to rotate in clockwise direction along with its own axis with the help of handle which will pull the rotor housing and thus the stator assembly will remove from the rotor housing.
