Abstract: The invention relates to a device for manufacturing of Axial Profile Fan, comprising a drill jig (01), a first hole locator (02), a locating pin (03) and a guide pin (04) all of which being assembled in an impeller hub, the locating pin (03) is enabled to locate the drill jig in registration with the impeller configuration, the first hole locator (02) allowing orientation of the device by using the locating pin (03) corresponding to the plane on which the supporting body is disposed, wherein the guide pin (04) is capable to maintain the hub, the drill jig (01) and the first hole locator (02) for final assembly.

Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to an axial fan impeller assembly, in particular an
assembly of the impeller hub and a supporting body to complete the impeller
assembly.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The fans for power and industrial applications comprise a Primary Air Fan rotor
consisting of a shaft, two impeller hubs, two supporting body and a servomotor.
The rotor is accommodated in a Cylindrical Roller bearing. In addition, two
Angular Contact Ball bearings are arranged on the driven side of the rotor in
order to absorb the axial thrust. Double contact Tele—thermometers and double
resistance thermometers monitor the bearing temperature. These thermometers
are connected to signaling instruments. Lubrication and cooling of these bearings
are undertaken by a combination of oil bath and circulating lubrication. Simmer
rings filled with grease are installed. The oil is ventilated through a lube oil return
pipe, which opens into the oil reservoir. A ventilation hood is mounted on the
reservoir.
An assembly of the primary air fan and a Forced draught fan supply primary air
and secondary air to an Air-pre heater to pre heat the air. This fan assembly is
designed to with-stand high pressures, where precise flow control are required.
This fan assembly is required to maintain a reliable and continuous operation for
years together. The impeller hub and supporting body integration is one of the
main operation of primary air fan and forced draught fan assembly. The main
disadvantage in the prior art is that the machining time for the supporting body
is more than that of the impeller hub which causes the impeller hubs to wait for
supporting body arrival. Further, the supporting body after machining needs
tracing a hole from Supporting Body to the hub then a drilling operation is done
in the drilling machine.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION :
It is therefore an object of the invention to propose a device for manufacturing
of Axial Profile (AP) Fan, which eliminates the disadvantages of the prior art.
Another object of the invention is to propose a device for manufacturing of Axial
Profile (AP) Fan, which enables to maintain dimensional accuracy of the fan.
Yet another object of the invention is to propose a device for manufacturing of
Axial Profile (AP) Fan, which reduces the manufacturing cycle time.
A further object of the invention is to propose a device for manufacturing of Axial
Profile (AP) Fan, which is operable by any un-skilled person .
A still further object of the invention is to propose a device for manufacturing of
Axial Profile (AP) Fan, which is safe and simple.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
According to the invention, there is provided a device for manufacturing of an AP
Fan. The device comprising a drill jig (01) , and first hole locator (02), locating
pin (03), and a guide pin (04), all of which are assembled in an impeller hub
(05). The locating pin (03) locates the drill jig (01), and the first hole locator (02)
locates orientation of the device by using the locating pin (03) corresponding to
the plane of the supporting body. The guide pin (04) maintains position of the
impeller hub, the drill jig (01) and the first hole locator (02).
After completing the drilling operation of the impeller hub, the hub is ready for
further operation.
The invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying
drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION :
A cover ring is rolled to a required diameter and the joints are welded, then the
cover ring is moved for step turning fig-1. Then the ring, the back cover and the
back cover ring are fitted with the cover ring. After completion of welding, then
the impeller hub is sent for trepanning of 23 holes. 23 Bushes are assembled
along with 23 stiffeners and welded with the cover ring and sent for stress
reliving. After the stress relieving, the assembly marked for ball turning operation
sent for machining.
The supporting body is machined, and assembled with ball turned impeller hub.
The impeller hub is drilled according to available size on the supporting body.
The supporting body holes are traced to the impeller hub. Then the impeller hub
is drilled as per supporting body design. After completion of drilling, the
supporting body is mounted with the impeller hub by bolts and nuts. After
completion of this operation, the impeller assembly is moved for boring
operation.
A drilling jig is mounted on the impeller hub with help of locater (02) and two
locating pin (03). The locater (02) ensures the angle of a first hole in the impeller
hub and a drill hole in the flange of the impeller hub, both are in different plane.
The impeller hub is pre drilled and kept ready for assembly. When the supporting
body is arrived immediately the hub is assembled with the supporting body.
The drill jig (01), first hole locator (02), locating pin (03) and guide pin (04) are
assembled in the impeller hub as shown in fig-10. The locating pin (03) locate
the drill jig as per the design requirement and the first hole, the locator (02)
locates the orientation of the device by using locating pin (03) as per the plane
available as on supporting body and finally the guide pin(04) to ensure the hub
with the drill jig (01) and first hole locator (02) as per the requirement.
After completing the operation of impeller hub drilling, the hub is ready for
further operation.
WE CLAIM:
1. A device for manufacturing of Axial Profile Fan, comprising a drill jig (01), a
first hole locator (02), a locating pin (03) and a guide pin (04) all of which
being assembled in an impeller hub, the locating pin (03) is enabled to
locate the drill jig in registration with the impeller configuration, the first hole
locator (02) allowing orientation of the device by using the locating pin (03)
corresponding to the plane on which the supporting body is disposed,
wherein the guide pin (04) is capable to maintain the hub, the drill jig (01)
and the first hole locator (02) for final assembly.
2. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the drill hole is traced from the
supporting body to the hub.
3. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the dimensional accuracy of the
assembly is maintained during the assembly.
