Abstract: The present invention relates to a special device used for straightening bush/metal holder of time piece dial which gets tilted during manufacturing process. This special device has. an upper and lower part. The upper part comprises of positioning arrangement for "square bush" to maintain its angular alignment according to the hour position of a wrist watch dial. The lower part of the special device has small tubes, through which adhesive moves and gets applied to the feet of the "square bush/metal holder" to make it permanently fixed with the dial, to ensure that the "square bush/metal holder" is held at the perfect angle corresponding to each hour mark position.
FIELD OF INVENTION:
[001) The present invention relates to the field of watch dial. The present
invention in particular relates to a system and method for device for straightening
bush/ feet of time pieces dial which gets bent during manufacturing process
5 DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART:
[002) With respect to the printed dial, there are generally two (2) manufacturing
methods: (I) the Butler-finishing method which presents a hairline design; and (2)
a radial design method which utilizes a stamping or pressing process.
[003) The Butler-finishing method starts with a nickel copper alloy base plate
10 shown at FIG. I-A as base plate 1. Then feet 2 are provided on the base plate 1.
Two methods are presently used for providing feet on the base plate. The first
method utilizes silver wax and in which feet 2 made of a copper pipe filled with
silver wax are implanted in the base plate I. The base plate and the feet are
maintained at 800° C. for five (5) minutes in a furnace until the silver wax withiri.
15 the copper pipe melts and the feet are fixed on base l.
[004) The second method for fixing the feet on the base is the use of resistance
welding. By this method feet 2 having a sharpened end of dull copper are welded
to the base l by applying electric current between the feet and the base while
some pressure is subjected thereto. The principle of this method is that because of
20 the resistance of the sharpened end portion of the feet is very large, the end
portion is specially heated and the feet are fixed to the base.

is directly over the central hole in the dial A. The end uf Lhe arm 0 is bent
downward at right angles to its plane and made of sufficient length to come within
the circular part of the lower arm, N. The end of arm 0 is pointed, so as to fit into
the hole at the center of the second bit, 13.

foot and a dial main body from a solder plating layer. A solder plating layer 4
having a thickness, for example, of 3- 10mum is applied to the surface of a dial
'
15 foot 3. Then, the dial foot 3 is located to the extremely thin dial main body 7
mounted to a hot plate 8 by a jig 5 treated with chromium plating 6 and heated, for

dial foot 3 is bonded to the main body 7, a mirror surface transparent clear coating
layer 15 is applied to the main body 7.
20 [014] Publication No JPS57114876 relates to a continuous working for a thin dial
plate of a watch, by attaching the fixing foot to a metallic base plate of a watch

base plate with a foot directly or indirectly fixed thereon, said dial assembly
supporting a three-dimensional decorative body, the three- And at least one
stepped member remote from the base plate and secured to the base plate via at

[021] Thus as is necessary for securing the dial in most watches, dial-feet are
subsequently attached to the back of the dial. Thus the dial-feet should have
absolutely no damage. The attachment should so slight, that the shape, finish and
appearance of the visible face is not impacted. Hence there exists a need of a
15 system for straightening the feet of the timepiece dial if it gets bent during
manufacturing process.

[022] In order to overcome above listed prior art, the present invention aims to
provide device for straightening bush/ metal holder for stone & diamond of wrist
watch dial which gets tilted during manufacturing process
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
[023] The principal object of the present invention is to provide a device for
straightening bush/ metal holder for stone & diamond of wrist watch dial which
gets tilted during manufacturing process.
[024] Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved device for
25 aligning the sides of "square bush I diamond holder" corresponding to the hour
mark position of a wrist watch dial and eliminates the problems of conventional
watch dials .
[025] Yet another object of the invention is to reduce the cost, achieving required
accuracy and avoiding rejection of the manufacturing ofwatch dials.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[026] The present invention relates to the device for straightening of square bush/
5 metal holder of a time piece dial which gets misaligned/tilted during the
manufacturing process as it gets rotated because of the single round foot of the
metal holder. To address the necessity of keeping the side wall of a square bush
aligned with correspondent angle of the reference hour mark, there is a necessity
of a special device. This special device has an upper and lower part. The upper
10 part comprises of positioning arrangement for "square bush" to maintain its
angular alignment according to the hour position of a wrist watch dial. The lower
part of the special device has small tubes, through which adhesive moves and gets
applied to the feet of the "square bush/metal holder" to make it permanently fixed
with the dial, to ensure that the "square bush/metal holder" is held at the perfect
15 angle corresponding to each hour mark position. The action of holding the "square
bush/metal holder" in a correct angle corresponding to the hour mark position of
the wrist watch dial and applying the adhesive on the round foot of the dial to
make the "square bush/metal holder" fixed on a permanent basis. This device is
very precise for maintaining the correct angle of"square bush/metal holder" of the
20 wrist watch dials while fixing it permanently with the wrist watch dial. This top
part is also designed in a special manner, which holds the sides of the "square
bush/metal holder" at the time of adhesive application but its contact with the
delicately finished wrist watch dial surface is avoided. The device mentioned
herein is fully capable of maintaining correct angular position, at 30 degrees with
25 respect to each adjacent hour mark. The special device provides permanent fixing
of the "square bush/metal holder" while avoiding any kind of damage to the
delicate and sensitive surface of the wrist watch dial.
BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:
[027] It is to be noted, however, that the appended drawings illustrate only
typical embodiments of this invention and are therefore not to be considered
for limiting of its scope, for the invention may admit to other equally effective
embodiments.

action of holding the "square bush/metal holder" in a correct angle corresponding
to the hour mark position of the wrist watch dial and applying the adhesive on the
round foot of the dial to make the "square bush/metal holder" fixed on a
permanent basis. This device is very precise for maintaining the correct angle of
"square bush/metal holder" of the wrist watch dials while fixing it permanently
with the wrist watch dial (Figure 4). This top part is also designed in a special
manner (Figure 3), which holds the sides of the "square bush/metal holder" at the
time of adhesive application through small metal tubes inserted in the lower part
(Figure 2) but its contact with the delicately finished wrist watch dial surface is
avoided. The device mentioned herein is fully capable of maintaining correct
angular position, at 30 degrees with respect to each adjacent hour mark. The
special device provides permanent fixing of the "square bush/metal holder" while
avoiding any kind of damage to the delicate and sensitive surface of the wrist
watch dial. •
5 [030] The bush/ metal holder is either square or rectangular in shape.
