Specification

TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The embodiments herein generally relate to a leakage detecting device, and more particularly to a device and a method to provide a signal representative of oil leakage in vehicles.
BACKGROUND
[002] Conventionally, a clutch chamber, transmission oil chamber and engine oil chamber form transmission housing in agricultural vehicles. The clutch chamber is disposed between the transmission oil chamber and the engine oil chamber. The transmission oil chamber and the engine oil chamber are provided with oil seals so that no oil leakage occurs to the 10 clutch chamber area. If oil leakage occurs from any of the corresponding oil seals of the transmission oil chamber and the engine oil chamber, the oil gets accumulated in the clutch chamber. Further, the accumulated oil may splash all over the clutch assembly. The clutch components are usually made up of cerametalic friction material. The oil leakage in the clutch 15 chamber reduces the frictional properties of the cerametalic friction material. Thereby, demanding replacement of the whole clutch assembly. The cost incurred in replacing the whole clutch assembly is huge.
[003] Therefore, there exists a need for a device and a method to provide a signal representative of oil leakage in the vehicles which 20 eliminates the aforementioned drawbacks.
OBJECTS
[004] The principal object of an embodiment of this invention is to provide a device to provide a signal representative of oil leakage in vehicles. 25
3/13
