A Device To Monitor The Status Of A Moving Yarn In Ring Frame
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for monitoring the status and rotational speed of a moving yarn (1) delivered from the drafting rollers of a ring spinning machine comprising a light source (3) that emits a modulated ray of light from one side of me yarn balloon (11) and a light receiver (5) located on the other side of the yarn balloon opposite to me hght source (3) that detects the shadow of the yarn balloon (11) whenever the moving yam obstructs the light during its rotation and a signal processing unit (14) which processes the shadow signals from the receiver and provides information such as the status and rotational speed of the moving yarn to the user for taking rectifying measures, when needed. The invention is also for a method for such monitoring with the aid of die system as above. FIG.1
