A Device To Multiply Electricity Using Hydraulic Power And Lever Mechanism

Abstract: A device is invented to multiply electricity by the application of lever mechanism and hydraulic power. This device essentially comprised of a hydraulic component, a rotor attached with levers, gear box, a generator, control systems and other accessories. Hydraulic component exerts pressure on the tip of the levers attached to the rotor shaft. The rotor component works on the principle of wheel and axle and converts the hydraulic pressure applied on the lever into rotary motion. The gear system attached to the rotor converts the low speed rotation to high speed rotation suitable for generating electricity. The generator component consists of the electrical generator and other control systems suitable to produce rated power. By the whole mechanism the input is multiplied. It is mainly because the present invention uses lever mechanism. The mechanical advantage of lever magnifies the input force and hence relatively low energy will rotate the rotor component, which is attached with a more powerful generator. Hence it is possible to produce more electric power than the one used for input force.

Specification

Prior Art
Many attempts were made to produce more electric energy than the one utilized for primary motion. Electric Power generator with enhanced energy output is disclosed in the following cited patent applications.
In the project "Asymmetric hydraulic press electric generator" (US2009273190) the inventor tries to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy using hydraulic pressure. A series of projects, using the leverage principle was patented by the inventor. He used the Process of regenerating electricity by rotating the shaft of an electric generator coupled to a flywheel with permanent magnets attached and rotated by magnetic force from a smaller driver flywheel with magnets attached and placed close to the driven flywheel and in turn rotated by a smaller force. The disadvantage of the project is the attempt made to rotate big flywheel by a smaller flywheel, which could not be done effectively.
PCT/IB2003/003203 titled "Chigo machine electro mechanics of electricity generator" talks about electricity amplifier that has the faculty to produce more electricity than the one utilized for primary motion. Further it claims that if it is connected in network, it will consume one and it will produce in exit hundred, to utilize to the uses. This patent relies on the electromechanical principle to produce more electric energy than the one utilized for primary motion. The disadvantage of this patent is that the entire amplification is concentrated in motive power at central motor shaft resulting in differential output.
Our present invention "A Device to Multiply Electricity Using Hydraulic Power and Lever Mechanism" is entirely novel, effective, scientific, and overcomes the defects of the previous attempts.
Objects of the Invention:
The principal object of this invention is to multiply the electricity production. Another object of this invention is to eliminate the excessive use of natural resources as fuel for the production of electricity. Another object of the invention is to apply mechanical advantage of simple machines to the multiplication of electricity. Another object of the invention is to reduce the transmission loss. A further object of this invention is to protect the environment from pollution. Yet another object of the invention is to enable electricity multiplication at any location.
4. DESCRIPTION
A DEVICE TO MULTIPLY ELECTRICITY USING HYDRAULIC POWER AND LEVER MECHANISM works on the principle of Mechanical Advantage lever and hydraulics. The mechanical advantage of a lever is the ratio of the length of the lever on the applied force side of the fulcrum to the length of the lever on the resistance force side of the fulcrum. If the distance from the fulcrum to where the input force is applied is greater than the distance from fulcrum to where the output force is applied, then the lever amplifies the input force. The present project applies the mechanical advantage of lever in the wheel and axle, which can be regarded as a form of lever. The radius of the wheel corresponds to the force arm, to which force is applied; the radius of the axle corresponds to the resistance arm; and the axis of the axle corresponds to the fulcrum. A wheel and axle has a mechanical advantage equal to the radius of the wheel divided by the radius of the axle.
The device is structurally mounted on a platform. Input force to the hydraulic system is given by an electric motor. Arms in the hydraulic system push the levers attached to a rotor shaft. The rotor is attached with a gear system, which multiplies the rotation. A permanent magnet generator suitable to produce more power than the input power is attached to the high speed shaft. Instead of permanent magnet generator other types of generators can also be used. But a permanent magnet generator is preferred as it produces electricity at low rpm. Again, in this device instead of gears, pulley drives can also be used. Instead of hydraulic power, pneumatic power can also be used; but hydraulic power is preferable due to its perfection. The reason for using hydraulics is to gain tremendous mechanical advantage. The large mechanical advantage in a hydraulic system is due the ability of the fluid to transmit pressure equally. It allows using a small force on the small piston to produce a larger force on the large piston. Since energy or power is always conserved, what is gained in force must be sacrificed in distance or speed and power would be conserved.
Description of the drawing
The drawing depicts the working principle of the device. Input force to the system is given through the hydraulic arms 1&2. These arms push the levers 3 to 10 simultaneously to effect rotation. All the levers (3 to 10) are connected to a hub (11), which acts as fulcrum. After connecting the levers ( 3 to 10) to the hub, it looks like a wheel. While hydraulic arm 1 pushes lever 3, the wheel moves forward and then the arm 2 pushes lever 4. This action is done continuously and arms 1 & 2 simultaneously push other levers ( 5 to 10). This effects the wheel to rotate continuously. Hydraulic force is applied at the tip of the levers (3 to 10) and the force at the fulcrum (11) is multiplied and the rotor shaft (12) connected with gearbox and powerful generator rotates without strain and it is possible to generate more electric power than that used for input force.
This system produces more electricity than the one utilized for input force. The system can be installed anywhere. It is economically viable and there is no need to spend huge cost for fuel. It is ideal for medium scale and large scale power production. It can be installed in any industry or business house for more power production. It can also be used for centralized power production and supply electricity through transformers.
