TITLE OF INVENTION
"A DEVICE WHICH ALLOWS ANYONE TO MAKE DOSA WITHOUT ANY PREVIOUS
EXPERIENCE OF MAKING DOSA".
APPLICANT NAME : - Vidli Restaurants Ltd.
NATIONALITY :-INDIAN
ADDRESS : -501, Jai Antariksh Makwana Road Andheri East 400059.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
It is in the realm of food making equipment to make a particular food item ie Dosa and Uttapa
This particular device is a metal equipment which can be used by any individual to immediately and easily without any prior experience of making a dosa can make a dosa immediately which delivers a consistent result ( product)
OBJECT OF INVENTION
It allows anybody to make dosa which is otherwise a difficult process as it required many years of
experience and practice. The person must be skilled at making it.
Further, each dosa is not consistent in terms of end product of size, thickness etc.
However with this device anybody with no prior experience can make the dosa . Further the product
made ( dosa ) is also consistent with each product being made consistent.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The most difficult part of making a dosa is to be able to get the shape consistently proper. It should be the correct thickness and also shape also needs to be maintained. All the while the pan / Hot plate being hot, the batter also sticks. Traditionally dosa is poured and then spread on the tawa using a round based object. Typically a steel flat spoon, or a round "vati" ( small steel bowl). However to do this skilfully takes years of practice as the dosa needs concentric circles to be made.
This leads tears in the dosa being made. Hence it is not easy for anyone without practice to make a proper dosa. As a restaurant company focused on south indian food, as we grew we were not having enough chefs and trained team members who could make dosa. Hence we were researching and identifying a way to make dosa easily so that anyone can make it.
With constant research and inspiration that it can be done. We arrived at the said device.
PRIOR ART
Patent application number 5949/CHE/2014 A dosa making machine comprising a rotatable horizontally mounted drum with means for rotating and heating the drum; a dosa-batter tray mounted below the drum with a horizontally disposed roller partially immersed in the said batter, with means for rotating the roller in the batter; and means for raising the tray with roller towards the drum to provide a gap between the rotating roller and rotating drum, the gap being of predetermined width to enable the rotating roller not only to coat the rotating drum with the batter from the.tray but also, simaltanously,to flatten the coaled batter on the drum whereby-said batter is
roasted on the surface of the drum to provide a dosa; a priser blade providing an adjustable gap between it and the surface of the drum, said blade being fixed along the side of the drum to separate the roasted dosa coming down the surface of the rotating drum, thus allowing the roasted dosa to fall into a receptacle, the tray with roller reverting to rest before being raised again towards the rotating drum to repeat the procedure and produced the required number of dosos;and a control system provided for setting the time, temperature, speed of rotation and other values and parameters of operation of the said machine.
Patent application number 753/CHE/2013 A dosa making machine comprising a horizontally supported rotatable drum having an outer surface made of hood grade material; lirsi moans (or healing the drum; second means lor rotating the drum about i(s horizontal axis of support; a barter dispenser unsullied above die drum lor periodically discharging a predetermined guanhiv o( baiter on the drum; a roller disposed • over the. drum and rotated about itss axis by the second means, for running over the discharged batter and flattening it to dosa shape; a pnser blade located over the drum for encountering the oncoming roasted dosa on the rotating drum to prise the roasted dosa off the drum, and collect it in a receptacle placed below the drum.
Patent application number 454/CHE/2013 is An automatic self-cleaning table top device for making dosas, pancakes with oil and fillings/toppings using microcontrollers which enable pre-programming of the desired end product; comprising of an insulated removable batter tank coupled with a motor; an oil dispensing mechanism which dispenses the oil through a nozzle which opens into a small chamber above a solenoid valve which enable the oil to fall onto the distribution mechanism; a Teflon coated hot plate heated from both top and bottom; a single mechanism comprising of the spreader, C Shaped peeler and hot plate cleaner integrated into a single structure which moves on the surface of the hot plate by means of a V-groove belt arrangement; the said mechanism moving from position 2 to position 1 once the product is cooked; simultaneously peeling and delivering the cooked end product as well as cleaning the hotplate with moisture.
Indian patent number 223932 titled "An improved device for producing different varieties of dosa and a method of preparing the said products using the device" claims a device comprising a machine base, a cover plate, a hot plate connected to a motor, a burner and pilot burner being installed under the hotplate and capable of being connected to a cooking gas cylinder, a resistance temperature detector (RTD) being fixed below the hot plate and connected to a programmable logic controller (PLC), where the PLC comprises a central processing unit (CPU), one input of the CPU being connected to a memory block, a second input being connected to a display cum keyboard unit, a third input being connected to RTD, a fourth input being connected to a thickness controlling unit, a fifth input being connected to the digital I/O unit, which is capable of driving the solenoid valve, motors, and pumps through isolating relay board, a water pump being connected to a water tank for spraying water on the hot plate, a scraper unit provided with a motor being fixed to the machine base for cleaning the hot plate, a proximity sensor being fixed on the side of the scrapper unit capable of cutting off the movement of the motor, a spreader assembly being connected to another motor fixed on the side of the hot plate capable of moving around 45 degree from its home position to the centre of the hot plate, a proximate sensor being fixed on the side of the spreader unit capable of cutting off the movement of the motor, a batter pump being fixed to the machine base for
dispensing the required quantity of dosa batter from the batter tank to the hot plate, the spreader unit being connected to a thickness control unit connected with a stepper motor driven by the PLC unit to maintain the required thickness of the dosa, an oil pump being connected to an oil tank being fixed on to the machine base capable of spraying oil on the pre-cooked dosa and the motors and pumps being powered and controlled by the PLC.
The present invention provides a easy way to make perfectly round dosa in four to five easy steps
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
If we are to compare the existing technology or technique, this new device and invention makes its far easier and simpler to do. Plus where it can take years to learn the technique in existing system. Here you can go ahead and do in the first or second try! Which means that anybody can do it. Also there is more consistency in the result and product.
In existing you will not get anybody can make. Here even a child with no prior experience of kitchen or making food can make the dosa and uttapa instantly. Without any issues.
In the existing case people who are not from kitchen background or making food will be hesitant to make dosa. Infect using this device anybody including children can make a dosa and uttapam without any problem.

It is to be noted, however, that the appended drawings illustrate only typical embodiments of this invention and are therefore not to be considered for limiting of its scope, for the invention may admit to other equally effective embodiments.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present device is a metal piece made with certain additions and modifications which is made is a particular shape as shown in the diagram. It has a small handle to enable operator to use. And a small part at the apex which allows the device to put in a small dimple in the hotel plate which allows the operate to rotate the device which is filled with dosa / uttapam batter which then gets spread in a circular format as the triangle device is rotated.
The metal is coated with Teflon to prevent sticking of the better.
THE DEFICIENCES / DRAWBACKS IN THE PRESENT INVENTION
It allows anybody to make dosa which is otherwise a difficult process as it required many years of
experience and practice. The person must be skilled at making it.
Further, each dosa is not consistent in terms of end product of size, thickness etc.
However with this device anybody with no-prior experience can make the dosa . Further the product
made ( dosa ) is also consistent with each product being made consistent.
