Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION
The present disclosure relates to nutritional compositions comprising a prebiotic component for inhibiting adherence of pathogens in the gastrointestinal tract of a subject and to the prebiotic component, which comprises rich nutritional compositions of Phyto pigments like Phycocyanin, beta carotenes, Xanthophylls, high level chlorophylls, Natural Vitamins, Minerals and amino-acids, The nutritional compositions of the present disclosure comprise a lipid source, a protein source, and a carbohydrate source comprising an effective amount of the prebiotic as well as co-biotic components.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION:
Generally it is well known that prebiotics comprise carbohydrates and more specifically, oligosaccharides. Furthermore it is known that they have widely been used as functional food ingredients. They resist hydrolysis by enzymes of the human digestive tract, can reach the colon undegraded and provide a carbohydrate substance particularly suited to the growth of bifidobacteria. Oligosachharides may be produced from glucose, galactose, xylose, maltose, sucrose, lactose, starch, xylan, hemicellulose, inulin, or a mixture thereof. Purified commercially available products such as fructo-oligosaccharides contain greater than about 95% solids in the form of oligosaccharides.

Although various types of prebiotics are known from the literature and can be found in the market, there is still an increasing need for more active alternatives or nutritional additives which support the various activities of existing products in a synergistic manner. Therefore, the object of the present invention has been to provide a new concept of prebiotic cum co-biotic components, which shows a synergistic stimulation of the growth of probiotic strains, preferably bifido and lactic bacteria both, and improves the health immune status of the human body.

The present disclosure relates to enteral nutritional compositions comprising a prebiotic component. More specifically, the nutritional compositions of the present

The present disclosure relates to enteral nutritional compositions comprising a prebiotic component. More specifically, the nutritional compositions of the present disclosure contain prebiotic / cobiotic components comprising Phycopigments like Phycocyanin, beta carotenes, Xanthophylls, high level chlorophylls, natural vitamins, minerals and amino-acids. Moreover, the disclosure is further directed to a method of inhibiting adhesion of pathogens in the gastrointestinal tract of a human subject. The method comprises administering an effective amount of the prebiotic/ cobiotic components.

OBJECTIVE OF INVENTION:

The present invention relates to the value of Parry's Spirulina as prebiotic as well as cobiotic.

a.To develop a novel prebiotic that will work far superior than the currently available prebiotics.

b. A prebiotic would be highly valuable and other benefits beyond the just gut health.

PROBLEM SOLVED IN THE INVENTION:
a. Developed new probiotic combinations with natural rich nutritional prebiotic cum co-biotic components.

b. Surprisingly we found 400mg of our Phycocyanin enriched organic Spirulina was far greater than even 1gms of commonly used prebiotics.

c. Phycocyanin enriched Spirulina offer far greater benefits in liver health, lipid
health, Gut health and overall health benefits (Clinical study is progressing).

INVITRO STUDIES DATA'S
Effect of Parry's Spirubiotic and FOS/ inulin/ lactitol on the growth and sporulation with Probiotics is illustrated in figure 1.

Growth and sporulation of Probiotics was higher in parry's spirubiotic (400 mg of Parry's Organic Spirulina : 40 -50mg of Probiotic blend Bacillus coagulans and L. Acidophilus hctl (1 billion cfu)) compared to control lactitol (1000 mg) where growth was less and 100 % sporulation was achieved only after 24 h.

Compared to 1000 mg FOS/ inulin, 500 mgs Parry's Spirubiotic showed more growth up to 20 h. The optical density decreased due to 100 % sporulation after 16 - 18 h.

Though Parry's Spirubiotic showed more / comparable growth than half the concentration of FOS/ inulin/lactitol.
We are used stable Probiotics compare with existing Probiotics in market.
