Abstract: Disclosed herein provides a door assembly (100) for a vehicle, the door assembly (100) comprising an outer panel (102); and an inner panel (104) surrounding a sash region (106); and a reinforcement member (400) disposed in between a top dead center (114) of the inner panel (104) and the outer panel (102), wherein the reinforcement member (400) comprises a first vertical end (402); a second vertical end (404) opposite to the first vertical end (402); and a flat surface (406) connecting the base of the first vertical end (402) and the second vertical end (404). The reinforcement member (400) further comprises one or more brackets (408, 410) joined with the flat surface (406).
