The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

A DRAGGING DEVICE FOR THE GAS CYLINDERS

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:

The present invention relates to a gas dragging device for gas cylinders. More particularly, it relates to an adjustable dragging device which being capable to transport the gas cylinders from one place to another place without lifting the cylinder.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:

Tanks or cylinders containing compressed gases are used in various applications including industries, fire fighting and in various chemical environments. Large cylinders weighing hundreds of pounds and more are typically handled using special material handling equipment. Small tanks such as residential fire extinguishers can be handled easily by a single person and need no additional equipment. In-between these sizes are a variety of tanks that are used in a number of different applications, such as compressed air scuba tanks, oxygen tanks used for hospital and home-based health care, and other such tanks in which the weight is greater than some nominal amount (e.g., over 20 Kg), but not too heavy that they cannot be handled by a single person using a hand truck.

Transport carts are used to move large, bulky compressed gas cylinders, which contain an axle with two wheels, a metal tube frame for holding the compressed gas cylinder, a safety chain and a handle. The trolleys have a size that almost corresponds to the length of the compressed gas bottle. The transport carts are primarily used for the safe transport of compressed gas cylinders. The transport carts are unwieldy and have a large space requirement, which is annoying when not in use.

There are many prior arts disclosing the Gas climbing trolley. The document EP1979216B1 discloses transporting and lifting device for gas cylinders, comprising a base structure with a wheel axle and two wheels and a support device provided with a further wheel, wherein the support device comprises two limbs, which are inclined relative to one another and which form together with the base structure stiff frame perpendicular to the wheel axle of the base frame and a carrier structure, which is displaceably connected with the base structure, for reception of the gas cylinders, wherein the displacement takes place by means of a winch arranged at the base structure, wherein base structure and support device are respectively provided in frame mode of construction and wherein at least one protruding load surface is provided at the base structure, characterised in that the protruding load surface has at least one wheel.

The document US3761121A discloses a gripping tool includes a shaft, a handle secured to one end of the shaft, and a tool head mounted for universal rotation at the opposite end of the shaft. The head includes a pair of resilient extending arms defining a gripping area into which a gripping projection extends from each arm. The tool is particularly suited for dragging standard gas cylinders over hilly terrains, the gripping projections being arranged to engage standard openings in the cylinder cap. The handle includes a freely rotatable grip extending perpendicular to the shaft.

The document FR2703435A1 discloses a device according to the invention comprises a rigid body with two wheels forming an axle. A cylindrical lateral bearing face comes to bear on the lateral face of a gas cylinder. A lower rim forms a support for a part of the lower ring of the gas cylinder. An attaching strap grips around the gas cylinder body to press the device laterally against the gas cylinder and secure it thereto. Limit stops engage inside the lower ring of the gas cylinder. The assembly formed by the bottle and the device is then pulled along by gripping hold of the cylinder stopper handle.

The problem with prior trollies to drag the cylinder is large amount of energy is needed to transport a gas cylinder e.g. residential LPG cylinders. Generally, the workman have to lift the cylinder on his shoulders to transport from one place to another place which produced too much fatigue. To overcome this drawback, there are many trollies are available to transport the cylinder from one place to other. But the available trollies have also the certain drawbacks like the gas cylinder need to place on the trolley by lifting it. It also difficult for the workman to do the same repeatedly.

To overcome the problem, the inventor of present invention have good solution for low cost .The inventors of the present invention designed and developed a dragging device for the gas cylinder for the purpose of the transporting it from one place to other place. The dragging device of the present invention is less complex, low cost and consumes very less place with respect to the prior art technologies.
