Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to a dust cap for actuation of 'micro-switch' in CNG vehicles. This invention relates in particular to dust cap used in CNG vehicles wherein the Filler Valve is inside the Engine Room.
PRIOR ART
Dust Cap is generally used in CNG vehicles to prevent the filler valve from getting contaminated by dust, dirt, etc. along with the actuation of micro-switch. In CNG Vehicles, micro-switch prevents the cranking of engine upon being deactivated (Fig. 3). During fuel filling, dust cap is opened & micro-switch gets deactivated. Once the filling is complete & filler valve is closed with the dust cap, said micro-switch gets activated & allows cranking of engine. Temperatures inside the engine room are quite high. In case a complete dust cap of metal had been provided, it would have been more heavy & expensive. If a complete dust cap of resin had been provided, it would have been difficult to actuate the micro switch because of comparatively lower pressure withstanding capacity & high wear & tear.
Generally in the known vehicles, either the Filler Valve is located on the Side Body wherein no similar kind of arrangement is provided or the micro switch is actuated by some other body part, or it is in the Engine Room wherein no arrangement of different materials is provided for cost & weight reduction.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
An object of the present invention is to provide a dust cap for actuation of 'micro-switch' in CNG vehicles, which is cost effective.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a dust cap for actuation of 'micro-switch' in CNG vehicles, which is light in weight.
Further object of the present invention is to provide a dust cap for actuation of 'micro-switch' in CNG vehicles having ease of operation.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a dust cap for actuation of 'micro-switch' in CNG vehicles, which can withstand high temperatures inside the Engine Room.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a dust cap for actuation of 'micro-switch' in CNG vehicles with less probability of wear & tear of contact material with micro-switch.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention, there is provided a dust cap for actuation of micro-switch wherein contact material with said micro-switch is a metal for with standing high contact pressure and the holding area is non metallic.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and wherein:
Fig. 1 shows an exploded view of the dust cap comprising a
metallic washer & resin material.
Fig. 2 shows the sectional view of the dust cap, filler valve & micro-
Switch indicating contact parts and method of actuation of Micro-switch.
Fig. 3 shows the sectional view of micro-switch reflecting the
actuation mechanism.
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS;
The present invention discloses a dust cap for actuation of micro-switch comprising of a combination of materials as shown in Fig. 1 wherein the contact material with micro-switch is steel for withstanding high contact pressure with less wear and tear, and the material at the holding area is resin as shown in Fig. 1.
The Present Invention is provided with metallic washer, which can be properly positioned and held in the mould. Reference may be made to fig. 2 and 3.

Features of the present invention
1. Different materials of the cap such that it can be used in Engine Room (high temperature zone) without affecting the function.
2. Ease of operation actuation of micro switch.
3. Design of metallic washer so that it can be properly located & held in the mould.
Advantageous features
1. Cost & weight Reduction: Instead of a single part, two different materials are used.
2. Material is chosen to withstand the temperature inside the Engine Room.
3. Probability of wear & tear of contact material (with micro-switch) is less.
It is to be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications, adaptations and changes by those skilled in the art. Such variant embodiments employing the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the following claims:-

WE CLAIM;
1. A dust cap for actuation of micro-switch wherein contact material with said micro-switch is a metal for withstanding high contact pressure and the holding area is non metallic.
2. A dust cap for actuation of micro-switch as claimed in claim 1, wherein the metal is such as steel and the non metal is such as resin.
3. A dust cap for actuation of micro-switch as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein the cap comprising of metallic washer.
4. A dust cap for actuation of micro-switch in CNG vehicles substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
