CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS AND PRIORITY
[001] The present invention claims priority from Indian patent application numbered IN 202041004325 filed on 31 January 2020.
TECHNICAL FIELD
[002] The present invention relates to a fixture. More particularly, the present invention relates to a fixture for clamping rear support of a heavy duty dump truck.
BACKGROUND
[003] Generally, screw jacks or regular supports are used for loading of a component on a horizontal boring machine for machining. However, during loading of heavy duty truck frame component such as left hand/right hand rear support on a horizontal boring machine, the existing fixture fails to provide support, clamping arrangement and angle setup for the component. Hence, it becomes difficult to load the component on the horizontal boring machine. Further, combined angle setup is very difficult for each component and clamping needs to be removed from the horizontal boring machine every time to load the component. Thus, it becomes necessary to design a fixture for easy clamping and loading of the component on the horizontal boring machine.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[004] Main object of the present invention is to provide a fixture configured for clamping rear support of a heavy duty vehicle on a horizontal boring machine.
[005] It is an object of the present invention to enable easy loading and clamping of the rear support of a heavy duty vehicle on the horizontal boring machine.
[006] It is an object of the present invention to provide angular setup for the rear support of a heavy duty vehicle.
SUMMARY
[007] Before the present system and method are described, it is to be understood that this application is not limited to the particular machine or an apparatus, and methodologies described, as there can be multiple possible embodiments that are not expressly illustrated in the present disclosures. It is also to be understood that the terminology used in the description is for the purpose of describing the particular versions or embodiments only, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present application. This summary is provided to introduce aspects related to a fixture for clamping rear support of a heavy duty vehicle, and the aspects are further elaborated below in the detailed description. This summary is not intended to identify essential features of the proposed subject matter nor is it intended for use in determining or limiting the scope of the proposed subject matter.
[008] A fixture for supporting rear support of a heavy duty vehicle comprises a base plate configured for mounting an angle support, an angle locator mounted on said base plate is configured for locating angle of said rear support and plurality of adjusters configured for locking said rear support in pre-determined position.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0013] Some embodiments of this disclosure, illustrating all its features, will now be discussed in detail. Although any systems and methods similar or equivalent to those described herein can be used in the practice or testing of embodiments of the present disclosure, the exemplary, systems and methods are now described. The disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the disclosure, which may be embodied in various forms.
[0014] Various modifications to the embodiment will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art and the generic principles herein may be applied to other embodiments. However, one of ordinary skill in the art will readily recognize that the present disclosure is not intended to be limited to the embodiments illustrated, but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the principles and features described herein.
[0015] Referring now to figure 1, in one aspect of present invention, the rear support boring fixture has a base plate (1). An angle support (2), an angle locator (3), a reference pad (4) and studs (6) are welded in the predefined positions on the top surface of the base plate (1). On the angle support (3) at predefined locations, the adjusters (5) are welded. After welding, the angle support (2), the angle locator (3), the reference pad (4) and the studs (6) to the base plate (1), the rear support boring fixture is machined to arrive at particular dimensions. Post completion of the machining of the fixture, the fixture is loaded on the horizontal boring machine which provides support and clamping facilities to the component.
[0016] When the component is loaded on the fixture, the angle support (2) and angle locator (3) will lock the component at a combined angle center point. The component reference dimension are derived from the reference pad (4) and the clamping of the component is carried out by using studs (6). Then the component is machined as per the dimensions from reference pad. By using the rear support boring fixture, the clamping provided in a pre-defined location. The angle supports are provided to locate and set up the combined angle for every component. The component clamping studs and hole are in pre-defined location to reduce the setup. The angle support and location locking features are provided to setup the combined angle bore location.
[0017] The hardware components mentioned below have the following purpose: base Plate (1) – To support all the necessary items, angle support (2) – To provide angle support for the component, angle locator (3) – To locate the component angle, reference pad (4) – To take the reference dimensions, adjusters (5) – To adjust & lock the component in the position and (6) studs for clamping – To clamp the component.
[0018] A fixture 100 for supporting rear support of a heavy duty vehicle comprises a base plate 102 configured for mounting an angle support 104, an angle locator 106 mounted on said base plate 102 is configured for locating angle of said rear support and plurality of adjusters 110 configured for locking said rear support in pre-determined position.
[0019] The angle support 104 is configured for providing angular support to said rear support. Plurality of adjusters 110 are configured to be welded on said base plate 102. A reference pad 108 is configured for measuring dimensions of said rear support. Plurality of studs 112 are configured for clamping said rear support.
[0020] Further, the invention can be used, but not limited to, in the following applications.
[0021] Exemplary embodiments discussed above may provide certain advantages. Though not required to practice aspects of the disclosure, these advantages may include those provided by the following features.
[0022] Some object of the present invention enables easy component setup and manufacturing of the component.
[0023] Some object of the present invention ensures loading of component on any horizontal boring machine having a particular table size.
,CLAIMS:
1. A fixture (100) for clamping rear support of a heavy duty vehicle comprises:
a base plate (102) configured for mounting an angle support (104);
an angle locator (106) mounted on said base plate (102) is configured for locating angle of said rear support; and
plurality of adjusters (110) configured for locking said rear support in pre-determined position.

2. The fixture (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said angle support (104) is configured for providing angular support to said rear support.

3. The fixture (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said plurality of adjusters (110) are configured to be welded on said base plate (102).

4. The fixture (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a reference pad (108) is configured for measuring dimensions of said rear support.

5. The fixture (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein plurality of studs (112) are configured for clamping said rear support.
