Abstract: A Bear shifting mechanism for automotive synchromesh transmission comprising three swivelably mounted shiffer forks, three shiffer shafts and three shiffer sleeves charactorised in that three shiffer dogs are respectively fastened to the three shifter shafts to swivel the three shirter forks about an axis and shift the shiner sleeves to a prodetermined gear Position.
This invention relates to i gear iifti| anhvia for aatoaotive syachreaeah traasaissioa
This iavcatiea relates to the atonal gnr ii aNhaia of a 5 speed

dog for die purpose of gear akiftkg. The shifter dog m ased to swivel a ■liter fork sbeat two piai fixed a the koasiag. The two pia« defiae the swhrafiag axis for the duller folk.
Aeeordiag to the kaowa art* the traaaaiaaiea systea ia a vehicle aeHipliw the eagiae torque accordaace with the geer aad sappties it to the wheels. A typical 5 speed syachroaesh traassiissioB has S forward gear peirt aid oae reverse gear pair.
The drive sad drivea gears are ia eoastoat aesh for all the gear pairs, oae of the two rotstag aloag with the shaft oa which it is aoaated while the other is freely rotatag over its shaft To seleet a partieaiar speed gear, the freely rotatiag gear is aade to rotate with its shaft asiag a lyaefcropack. The gear shift is aotoatod by die driver tooa^i external gear shift aechaaisa sad prooeeds via atonal gear shift aoahaaisa throagh the syaehropaok. The shifter shafts aad tie shifter folks are the parts of the iatanal gear shift aoahaaisai.

The eabodiaeat consists of 3 shifter shafts SI S2 S3. Ovor each shifter shaft is faateaed a shifter dog aaiag spriag (Fig.2). Thas, ia att, thacoara 3 shifter dogs D1 D2 and D3. Eaoh shifter dog is also gaided by a shifter shaft othar thaa the shaft it ia aioaatod oa. There are 3 shiftar forit asseablies F1F2 aad F3 (Fig.3). £aeh ahiftar fork aaaeaibly has a aaia sheet sietal body F. oae fork pa FP two shift padsSP aad two borea PV1 sadPV2 in whiah the pas fixed to die easiag go. In the present invention, the gaide shaft of tke conventional systea haa been eMa anted. The invention aaea three ahift dogs D1D2 D3 fuetenod to three shifter shafts SI S2 S3 to swivel die shifter forks F1F2 F3 aboat aa axis so aa to aove shifter sleeve ia a direction opposite to tkat of tke skifter shaft. Dae to reduced bending aoaeet, ckances of fidhu* of the ahifter forks are redaoed, thereby in (Teasing their fatigue lite.
