Abstract: A gift box is described. The blank of the gift box has a top panel having a personalized message portion defined within a plurality of perforation lines and a transparent portion that is defined when the personalized message portion is torn along the plurality of perforation lines. A transparent panel made of a transparent material covers the transparent portion. The gift box further has an integral tearable insert portion that can further personalize the gift message and a glue portion that acts as a tamper proof mechanism.
DESC:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a paper box. More particularly, the present invention relates to a gift box that provides a personalization panel that facilitates a gifter to place a hidden personalized message.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The prior art has a plethora of gift box variations that allow a user or a gifter to contain the gift items within and write personalized message that is displayed on the box. These gift boxes do not allow a gifter to personalize a message for a giftee such that the message is hidden and throws an element to the giftee when the gift box is opened. Further, the prior art gift boxes do provide a transparent panel that allows a sneak peek inside the box when the box is opened and the hidden personalized message is displayed to a giftee.
There is a need for a gift box that is that provides a personalization panel that is configured to facilitate a hidden personalized message and that further provides a transparent panel that is configured to allow a sneak peek inside the box when the box is opened and the hidden personalized message is displayed to a giftee. Further, there’s a need for a gift box that facilitates an integrated message panel that can be advantageously torn apart and attached and/or inserted in a sleeve that is defined.
SUMMARY
A gift box is described. The blank of the gift box has a top panel having a personalized message portion defined within a plurality of perforation lines and a transparent portion that is defined when the personalized message portion is torn along the plurality of perforation lines. A transparent panel made of a transparent material covers the transparent portion. The gift box further has an integral tearable insert portion that can further personalize the gift message and a glue portion that acts as a tamper proof mechanism.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
One object of the invention is to provide a gift box that is adapted to provide a hidden personalized message.
Another object of the invention is to provide an element of surprise to the giftee when the gift box is opened.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a transparent panel that is presented to the giftee when the gift box is opened to allow a preview of the gift items contained in the gift box.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide an extension panel that has an integral insert portion that is used to further personalize the gift message.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide an extension panel that has a glue portion that acts a tamper proof mechanism.
Other advantages and objects of the invention will become apparent from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein is set forth by way of illustration and example an embodiment of the present invention.
STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION
A gift box having a personalized message and a panel that are configured to display a hidden message and gift items contained within the box when the gift box is opened by a giftee.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to FIG. 1, a blank 100 that is configured to construct a gift box in accordance with the present invention is described. The blank 100 has a front panel 102 and a left side panel 104 and a right side panel 106. The front panel has a top sub-panel 108 and a bottom sub-panel 110. The front panel has a distal portion 112 and a personalized message portion 114. The blank 100 has a plurality of fold lines 116 that are configured to construct a gift box when folded in a pre-determined manner. The personalized message portion has a plurality of perforation lines 118 that are torn to present a personalized message area. The perforated area 118 when torn define a portion 120 for a transparent sub-panel 122. The transparent sub-panel 122 made of a transparent material is used cover the transparent portion 120.
The bottom sub-panel 110 has a back wall portion 124 and a bottom base portion 126 and a front wall portion 128. The front panel 102 has a top cover portion 130. The perforation lines 118 define personalized message portion 114 the top cover portion 130. The top cover portion 130 covers the base when the side panels 104,106 and wall portions 124, 128 are folded to form a box. The distal portion 112 is joined with the front wall portion to form the
box.
Referring to FIGS. 2-4, a gift box 200 that is constructed in accordance with the present invention is illustrated. A user typically tears the gift box at perforation lines 118 and the transparent panel 122 that is used to cover the transparent portion 120 is exposed. A personalized message is written or inscribed on the personalized message portion 114 and the personalized message portion 114 is used to cover the transparent panel 122 and the transparent portion 120. A plurality of gift items are placed inside the box and the top cove portion 112 is joined with the front wall portion. A slit 132 that is adapted to lock the top cover portion 112 with the front wall portion 128 is provided. The plurality of gift items are placed within a plurality of compartments defined by partition panels 134.
Referring to FIGS. 5-7, a gift box 200 that is constructed in accordance with another embodiment of the invention is illustrated. In this embodiment the arrangement and setting of the personalized message portion, the transparent portion is changed to advantageously facilitate insertion an insert panel between the personalized message portion and the transparent portion. The gift box 200 has a front panel 102, a left side panel 104 and a top cover portion 130. The gift box has a personalized message portion 140 that is situated on the front panel and another personalized message portion 142 that is situated on the top cover portion 130. The personalized message portion 140 covers a transparent portion 146. A cavity or a sleeve 147 is defined between the personalized message portion 140 and the transparent portion 146.
A user typically tears the gift box at perforation lines 148 and the inside portion 149 of the top cover portion 130 and the transparent portion 146 is exposed. T A personalized message is written or inscribed on the personalized message portion 140 and the personalized message portion 140 is used to cover the transparent panel 146. The personalized message portion 142 is attached to the top cover portion 130 again.
Referring to FIGS. 8-12, a gift box 200 that is constructed in accordance with another embodiment of the invention is illustrated. In this embodiment the arrangement and setting of the personalized message portion, the transparent portion is changed to advantageously facilitate insertion an insert panel that is an integral part of the top cover portion. The insert panel is inserted between the personalized message portion and the transparent portion. The gift box 200 has a front panel 102, a left side panel 104 and a top cover portion 130. The gift box has a personalized message portion 150 that is situated on the front panel 102 and an extension portion 153 that is an extension to the top cover portion 130. The extension portion has a insert portion 152 and a glue portion 154. The extension portion is preferably glued to the back side panel 103 of the box. The glue portion that is is defined between lines 155 and 157 is used to glue the extension panel to the box 200. The insert portion 152 is torn apart from the extension portion 153. Thus, the glue portion also acts as tamper proof.
The personalized message portion 150 covers a transparent portion 156. A cavity or a sleeve 157 is defined between the personalized message portion 150 and the transparent portion 157. The insert portion is 152 that is torn apart from the extension portion 153 is inserted between the sleeve 157.
A user tears the extension portion at perforation lines 157 and the insert portion 152 is separated. The user writes a message on the insert portion 152 and then inserts the insert portion between sleeve 157. The glue portion 154 is has a glue and is attached to the back side panel 103 of the box 200.
IN OPERATION
A gifter opens a gift box 200 constructed in a accordance with the present invention by tearing apart at the perforation lines 118. The gifter then writes a personalized message on the personalized message portion 114, covers placing the personalized message portion upon the transparent panel 120 and the transparent portion 122 after placing the gift items inside the gift box and reseals the gift box 200. The giftee opens the gift box 200. The giftee discovers a surprise personalized message upon opening the gift box. The giftee is also presented with an opportunity to review the contents of the gift box through the transparent sub-panel 122.
In another embodiment, a user typically tears the gift box at perforation lines 148 and the transparent portion 146 is exposed. A personalized message is written or inscribed on the personalized message portion 140 and the personalized message portion 140 is used to cover the transparent panel 146. The personalized message portion 142 is attached to the top cover portion 130 again.
In another embodiment, a user tears the extension portion at perforation lines 157 and the insert portion 152 is separated. The user writes a message on the insert portion 152 and then inserts the insert portion between sleeve 157. The glue portion 154 is has a glue and is attached to the back side panel 103 of the box 200.
TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENT AND ECONOMIC SIGNIFICANCE:
1. The gift box constructed in accordance with the present invention provides a personalized message portion that is hidden when the box is in a closed position.
2. The gift box constructed in accordance with the present invention provides a transparent panel that allows a giftee to review the contents when the box is opened and the personalized message is read.
3. The gift box constructed in accordance with the present invention provides an element of surprise and a unique gift experience to a giftee.
4. The gift constructed in accordance with the present invention provides an integral insert portion that can be used to personalize the message further and advantageously facilitates easy insertion of the message in the personalized message portion.

1. A preconfigured blank for construction of a box comprising:
a top panel having a personalized message portion defined within a plurality of perforation lines;
a transparent portion that is defined when the personalized message portion is torn along the plurality of perforation lines; and
a transparent panel made of a transparent material that covers the transparent portion.
2. A a box comprising:
a top panel having a personalized message portion defined within a plurality of perforation lines and top of box;
a transparent portion that is defined and revealed when the personalized message portion is torn along the plurality of perforation lines; and
a sleeve that is defined between the personalized message portion and the box portion and that is advantageously facilitated to receive an insert panel.
3. The box of claim 2 further comprising:
an extension portion has a tearable portion on the personalized message portion and that is advantageously facilitated and sized to be torn and inserted into the sleeve.
4. The box of claim 2 further comprising:
the extension portion that has a glue portion that is advantageously allows the extension to be glued on to the box and
