A Grading Machine For Grading Objects And A Method Thereof
Abstract: ABSTRACT A GRADING MACHINE FOR GRADING OBJECTS AND A METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure relates to an electromechanical grading machine for grading objects and method thereof. The grading machine includes at least one controller (10) with a grading comparator (12), an object introducing unit (20), an in-feed unit (30), a singulator (40), a conveyor (50), a plurality of optical examination beds (60), an optic unit (70), a plurality of grade container (80) and an object grading/directing unit (90). The singulator (40) is pick and place mechanism which includes a one hollow drum (46) fitted with the assembly of a solid drum (42), a first flexible element (44) and a vacuum unit (54). The hollow drum (46) has openings fitted with rigid projections (48) and second flexible elements (52). The second flexible element (52) expands when vacuum is created to firmly hold an object, typically having uneven and irregular surface, and simultaneously releases object.
