A Hand Bag Having Changeable Flaps

Abstract: The hand bag envisaged has changeable flaps. The chamber of the hand bag is made of flexible sheet material, bottom end permanently closed and top end adapted to open and close. Fastening means, such as, zip and the like is provided and secured to the edges of the top end of the hand bags to facilitate open and close the hand bag. The handles secured at the top end centre of the chamber. The hand bag is characterized in that on the external side of the chamber is provided with pressing members of press buttons. A first flap made of flexible sheet materials has longitudinal slot substantially at the middle to place on the top end of the hand bag through the said handles and having mounted with first set of receiving members of the press buttons corresponding to the pressing ends of the press buttons mounted on the external side of the chamber. Above the receiving members of the press buttons, a second set of receiving members of the press buttons are provided. The second flap member made of flexible sheet materials have longitudinal slot substantially at the middle to place on the top end of the hand bag above the first flexible flap member and has mounted there on the receiving members of the press buttons which are adapted to fit to the second set of pressing members of the press buttons on the first flap member.

Claims:We claim:

1. A hand bag having changeable flaps consists of chamber made of flexible sheet material, bottom end permanently closed and top end adapted to open and close; closure means, such as, zip and the like provided and secured to the edges of the top end of the said hand bags that is adapted to open and close the hand bag; and handles secured at the top end centre of the said chamber; characterized in that on the external side of the said chamber provided with one of the members of press buttons; a first flap made of flexible sheet materials having longitudinal slot substantially at the middle to place on the top end of the hand bag through the said handles and having mounted with first set of members of the press buttons corresponding to the receiving ends of the press buttons mounted on the external side of the chamber; above the said corresponding other members of the press buttons, a second set of receiving members of the press buttons; and a second flap member made of flexible sheet materials having longitudinal slot substantially at the middle to place on the top end of the hand bag above the first flexible flap member and having mounted thereon the corresponding other members of the press buttons which are adapted to fit to the said second set of receiving members of the press buttons on the first flap member.

2. A hand bag having changeable flaps as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said first and second flap members are made of cloth or leather or artificial leather and are printed with different colours or surface designs.

3. A hand bag having changeable flaps as claimed in claims 1 and 2, wherein the second flap member is smaller in size than the first flap member.

4. A hand bag having changeable flaps as claimed in claims 1 to 3, the said first and second flaps have innumerable combinations.

5. A hand bag having changeable flaps as claimed in claims 1 to 4, and as described with reference to illustrations in the accompanying drawings.

The following specification particularly describes the invention and ascertains the manner in which it is to be performed:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a hand bag having changeable flaps.

BACKGROUND & OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

Hand bags are in use basically for carrying requisites of person use. The hand bags are essentially carried by women. Passage of time and development of fashion worldwide, produced designer bags and have become part and parcel of daily fashion.

As it has become part and parcel of daily fashion, the women desire to carry hand bag of the colour matching her dress or sari. Therefore, women require to keep with them number of hand bags matching dresses and saris. The designer hand bags are expensive acquiring hand bags to match all the dresses and saris become unaffordable. Over and above shortage of space and storing hand bags, they require being regularly cleaned and maintained, else they lose their aesthetic look.

OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION

One of the primary objectives of the present invention is to avert acquiring hand bags in numbers matching dresses and saris of women. Another objective of the invention is women would be able to manage carrying hand bag of the colour matching her dress or saris with only one hand bag. Thus, spending money for acquiring/purchase of number of expensive hand bags is obviated. A further objective of the present invention is to enable women carry a designer hand bag of different colour everyday in spite of possessing one hand bag.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

According to the present invention a hand bag having changeable flaps consists of chamber made of flexible sheet material, bottom end permanently closed and top end adapted to open and close; closure means, such as, zip and the like provided and secured to the edges of the top end of the said hand bags that is adapted to open and close the hand bag; and handles secured at the top end centre of the said chamber; characterized in that on the external side of the said chamber provided with receiving members of press buttons; a first flap made of flexible sheet materials having longitudinal slot substantially at the middle to place on the top end of the hand bag through the said handles and having mounted with first set of members of the press buttons corresponding to the receiving ends of the press buttons mounted on the external side of the chamber; above the said corresponding other members of the press buttons, a second set of receiving members of the press buttons; and a second flap member made of flexible sheet materials having longitudinal slot substantially at the middle to place on the top end of the hand bag above the first flexible flap member and having mounted thereon the corresponding other members of the press buttons which are adapted to fit to the said second set of receiving members of the press buttons on the first flap member.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the first and second flap members are made of cloth or leather or artificial leather and are printed with different colours or surface designs.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the second flap member is smaller in size than the first flap member.

In a preferred embodiment, the designer hand bag has characteristic of providing first and second flaps in innumerable combinations.

DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATION IN DRAWINGS

The invention will now be described with reference to illustrations in the accompanying drawings, wherein –

Figure 1 is an illustration of chamber made of flexible sheet material of the hand bag envisaged according to the present invention;

Figure 2 is an illustration of the first flap member made of flexible sheet material;

Figure 3 is an illustration of the second flap member made of flexible sheet material.

Figure 4 is the assembly of chamber shown in figure 1, first flap member shown in figure 2 and second flap member shown in figure 3.

Figure 5 shows first and second flaps in figures 2 and 3 placed one over the other.

Figures 6 to 38 illustrate a some of combinations of bag body, first flap and second flap.

Referring to the illustrations in figure 1, numeral 101 is chamber of a hand bag. Numeral 102 shows a set of handles secured to the chamber 101. Numeral 103 is fastening means, such as, zip or the like fastening means secured to the open top end of the chamber 101. Numerals 104a, 104b and 104c are receiving members of press buttons mounted and secured on one of the side walls of the chamber 101.

Figure 2 illustrates first flap member made of flexible materials, such as leather or leather substitutes or textile materials or similar material. Numerals 105a, 105b and 105c are corresponding inserting members of press buttons and are adapted to get inserted into their respective receiving ends 104a, 104b and 104c on the side wall of the chamber and then the handles 102 are inserted into the longitudinal slot 106 and this lands the free end of the flap member in Figure 2 on the opposite side wall (not shown).

Figure 3 illustrates second flap member made of flexible materials, such as leather or leather substitutes or textile materials or similar material. Numerals 107a and 107b are receiving members of press buttons secured at one end of the second flexible flap. The receiving members 107a and 107b of press button are adapted to get inserted into their respective pressing ends 108a and 108b on the side wall of the chamber 101, and then the handles 102 are inserted into the longitudinal slot 109 and this lands the free end of the flap member in Figure 3 on the first flap on the opposite side wall (not shown).

The first and second flap members are made of cloth or leather or artificial leather and are printed with different colours or surface designs (not shown). The second flap member in Figure 2 is smaller in size than the first flap member in Figure 3.
