A Handlebar Grip Assembly For Two Wheeled Vehicles
Abstract: A handlebar grip assembly for attaching over an end of a hollow and tubular handlebar of a vehicle is described. The assembly comprises a handle (100) having a hollow tube (102) with a first end (106) and a second end (108). The handle (100) has a disk-shaped member (110) integrally fixed to the first end (106) and a threaded inner surface (118) at the second end (108). The handle (100) is directly fitted over the handlebar of the vehicle. An end cap (200) is attached to the second end (108) of the handle (100) to define a sealed chamber within the handle (100). A storage container is accommodated in the sealed chamber. Rotation of the end cap (200) in a predetermined angle detaches the end cap (200) from the handle (100) and allows an access to the storage container.

Specification
Claims:1. A handlebar grip assembly for attaching over an end of a hollow and tubular handlebar of a vehicle, the assembly comprising:
a handle (100) comprising a hollow tube (102) having a first opening at a first end (106) and a second opening at a second end (108), wherein the handle (100) is to be fitted over the tubular handlebar and wherein the second end (108) comprises a threaded inner surface (118);
a disk-shaped member (110) integrally fixed to the first end (106); and
an end cap (200) attached to the second end (108) of the handle (100) to define a sealed chamber within the handle (100) to accommodate a storage container, wherein rotation of the end cap (200) in a predetermined angle detaches the end cap (200) from the handle (100) to allow an access to the storage container.
2. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 1 comprises a cover (300) having a first opening end and a second opening end, said cover (300) having an annular flange projecting radially outwards from the first opening end, wherein the cover (300) is to be removably affixed to the handle (100).
3. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the handle (100) is fitted over the handlebar by means of a screw.
4. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the attachment between the end cap (200) and the handle (100) is a threaded attachment.
5. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the end cap (200) is attached to the handle (100) by using a push button locking mechanism.
6. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the storage container includes at least one of a pepper spray canister, a knife, and a whistle.
7. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 6, wherein the storage container is affixed to an inner side of an insertable portion (208) of the end cap (200) by an adhesive.
8. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the handle (100) is made from at least one of a rubber, hard plastic, elastomer, metal, aluminum, or carbon.
9. The handlebar grip assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the end cap (200) is made from at least one of hard plastic, fiber, metal, wood, or polycarbonate.
