A Helmet With A Pony Tail Routing Groove

Abstract: The present invention relates to a helmet [100] comprising an external shell member [104], a foam member [101] fixed to an inner surface of the external shell member [104], and an inner cushioning member [103] fixed to the foam member [101]. The foam member [101] defines a first pony-cut cavity [102a], while the inner cushioning member [103] defines a second pony-cut cavity [102b]. Notably, a combination of the first pony-cut cavity [102a] of the foam member [101] and the second pony-cut cavity [102b] of the inner cushioning member [103], forms a pony-tail routing groove [102] with the external shell member [104] proximal to a posterior end thereof. With such an arrangement, when a user wears the helmet [100], a pony-tail of the user may be positioned and guided through the pony-tail routing groove [102] of the helmet [100], thereby providing comfort to the user, while maintain the standards of safety of the helmet [100] thereof.
