1. A herbo-mineral formulation for treatment of cough, cold, vomitting and diarrhoea comprising 25 mg to 75 mg of Dadium Phal Tvak (Fruit of Punica granatum Linn), 15 mg to 50 mg of Amra Beej Majja (Seed of Mangifera indica Linn), 25mg to 75 mg, Kamal Beej Majja (Seed of Nelumbo nucifaera Gaert), 25mg to 75mg of Harad (Fruit of Terminalia Chebula Retz), 15mg to 50mg of Sonth (Rhizome of Zingiber officinalis), 15mg to 50mg of Bilva (Unripe fruit pulp of Eagle marmelos corr.) and 15mg to 50mg of Jahar Mohra Pishti (Serpentine stone).

Filed of Invention
This invention relates to a herbo-mineral formulation for the treatment of cough, cold, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Background of Invention
The medical problems like cough, cold, indigestion, vomitting, diarrhoea and stomatitis etc. are often experienced in day to day life. Though many Ayurvedic formulations are available in market to manage these problems, there is no single remedy to manage all these problems. A single effective formulation is necessary for the convenience of practitioners as well as the patient.
Objects of the Invention
An object of this invention is to provide a herbo-mineral formulation for the treatment of cough, cold, vomitting and diarrhoea.
Another object of this invention is to provide a herbo-mineral preparation which is capable of managing multiple problems of cough, cold, vomitting and diarrhoea.

Another object of this invention is to provide a herbo-mineral preparation for the treatment of cough, cold, vomitting and diarrhoea which is effective.
Further object and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description.
Statement of invention
According to this invention there is provided a herbo-mineral formulation for treatment of cough, cold, vomitting and diarrhoea comprising 25 mg to 75 mg of Dadim Phal Tvak (Fruit of Punica granatum Linn), 15 mg to 50 mg of Amra Beej Majja (Seed of Mangifera indica Linn), 25mg to 75 mg of Kamal Beej Majja (Seed of Nelumbo nucifaera Gaert), 25mg to 75mg of Harad (Fruit of Terminalia Chebula Retz), 15mg to 50mg of Sonth (Rhizome of Zingiber officinalis), 15mg to 50mg of Bilva (Unripe fruit pulp of Eagle marmelos corr.) and 15mg to 50mg of Jahar Mohra Pishti (Serpentine stone).
Description of Invention
According to this invention there is provided a herbo-mineral formulation for treatment of cough, cold, vomitting and diarrhoea comprising of following ingredients in the specified ranges:-

1. Dadim Phal Tvak (Fruit of Punica granatum Linn) 25mg. to 75
mg.
2. Amra Beej Majja (Seed of Mangifera indica Linn) 15mg. to
50mg.
3. Kama! Beej Majja (Seed of Nelumbo nucifaera Gaert) 25mg. to
75mg.
4. Harad (Fruit of Termlnalia chebula Retz.) 25 mg. to 75mg.
5. Sonth (Rhizome of Zingiber officinalis) 15 mg. to 50 mg.
6. Bilva (Unripe fruit pulp of Eagle marmelos corr.) 15 mg to 50 mg.
7. Jahar mohra Pishti (Serpentine stone) 15 mg. to 50 mg.
Further in accordance with this invention the authentic dry raw ingredients are first cleaned and coarse powder of first 6 raw ingredients is prepared. The fine form of coarse powder is obtained by using 80 mesh sieve.
Ingredient No. 7 'Jahar Mohra Pishti' is prepared in a manner as known in the art.
Fine powder of different ingredients at Sr. Nos. 1 to 6, is mixed together homogeneously. Then admixture of fine powder of these six ingredients is mixed well with Jahar Mohra Pishti.
Gum Acacia, a binding agent or any other compatible binding agent in quantity 25mg. for 250mg. of formulation is mixed with the above mixture of all 7 ingredients.

Sterile conditions are maintained throughout the process. Tablets of drug are prepared by Tableting Machine.

EXAMPLE
55 mgs. of Dadim Phal Tvak, 20 mgs. of Amra Beej Majj'a, 45 mgs. of Kama! Beej Majja, 55 mgs. of Harad, 20 gs. of Sonth and 30 mgs. of Bilva in a dried condition were crushed to a particle size and fine powder prepared by passing through 80 mesh. Such constituents were thoroughly mixed and 25 mg of Jahar Mohra Pishti, which is a mineral, was processed according to
Ayurvedic Formulary of India Part I, and then added to the above mixture.
The analytical parameters of the formulation are as shown in Table-1 below:-

Clinical studies with the formulation of the present invention were carried out to study the effect of the formulation in reducing the morbidity incidence in normal children of age between 6 months to 2 years. The children having congenital anomaly were excluded from study. Fifty percent cases of trial group and fifty percent cases of control group were taken. The medication was given in the dose of one tablet twice a day with milk over a period of three months. Apart from routine urine,
stool and Haemoglobin examination, C3 and C4 was also assessed in trial group before and after medication. For fifty cases (25 control and 25 trial), the observation and results of the study are as in Table II and III below: -

TableRemove-II shows that episode of ailments in 90 days follow-up is less in trial group. The difference in mean duration per episode in 90 days is insignificant. Table-Ill shows significant increase in Ca and C4 values which are the immunity markers.
It is to be noted that present invention is susceptible to modifications changes and adaptations by those skilled in the art. Such, variant embodiments incorporating the concepts and features of the present invention, are intended to be within the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the following claims:

Nelumbo nucifaera Gaert), 25mg to 75mg of Harad (Fruit of
Terminalia Chebula Retz), 15mg to 50mg of Sonth (Rhizome of
Zingiber officinalis), 15mg to 50mg of Bilva (Unripe fruit pulp of Eagle
marmelos corr.) and 15mg to 50mg of Jahar Mohra Pishti (Serpentine
stone).
