A High Strength Hot Rolled Steel Sheet And A Method Of Manufacturing Thereof

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for producing high strength-hot rolled steel sheet. The method starts from casting a steel slab of a defined composition. Then, heating, the steel slab to a first predetermined temperature followed by holding the steel slab for a first predetermined time. Holding at this temperature allows portioning of Mn into austenite phase. The steel slab is further heated to the second predetermined temperature for a second predetermined time and subjected to a hot working to produce a steel sheet. After hot working, the steel sheet is cooled to a third predetermined temperature at a predetermined cooling rate. After cooling, the steel sheet is subjected to coiling at a third predetermined temperature for third predetermined time and cooled to room temperature under natural cooling conditions. The microstructure of the high strength hot rolled steel sheet comprises martensite or bainite with retained austenite phase.
