Abstract: The invention relates to a household appliance 10 comprising a removable storage bin 12 positioned at a bottom portion 13 of the appliance 10. The storage bin 12 comprises a first portion 14 and a second portion 15. The first portion 14 acts as a handle and the second portion 15 stores at least one item. The appliance 10 comprises an electronic control unit (ECU) 16 adapted to control at least one operation of the appliance 10. The appliance 10 comprises a heater assembly 18 fitted inside the first portion 14, which is connected to the ECU 16. The appliance 10 comprises a tube 22 positioned in the second portion 15, which is connected to the heater assembly 18. The tube 22 dissipates steam generated from the heater assembly 18 for cleaning the at least one item stored in the second portion 15 of the storage bin 12.
Claims:1. A household appliance (10) comprising :
- a removable storage bin (12) positioned at a bottom portion (13) of said

least one item;
- an electronic control unit (ECU) (16) adapted to control at least one
operation of said appliance (10);
characterized in that:
- a heater assembly (18) fitted inside said first portion, said heater assembly
(18) is connected to said ECU (16);
- a tube (20) positioned in said second portion (15), is connected to said heater
assembly (18), said tube (20) dissipates steam/heat generated from said
heater assembly (18) for cleaning said at least one item stored in said second
portion (15) of said storage bin (12).
2.The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said first portion (14)
comprises a tank unit (22) having a liquid storage tank (24), a holder (26) and a
lid (28) covering said tank unit (22).
3. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said heater assembly (18)
comprises an inlet (30), an instant heater coil (32) and an insulation cover (34)
enclosing said instant heater coil (32) and an outlet (36).
4. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 2, wherein said tank unit (22) and said
heater assembly (18) are positioned at each end of said first portion (14) and are
connected via a pipe (38).
5. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 3, wherein said heater coil (32) adapted
to heat said liquid flown into said heater assembly (18) from said tank unit (22)
upon receiving a signal from said ECU (16).
6. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 5, said tube (20) positioned across a
surface area of said second portion (15) dissipates said steam in said second
portion (15), when said heated liquid flows through said tube (20).
7. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 6, wherein said tube (20) comprises
multiple holes (40) made uniformly, on an outer surface of said tube (20) for
equal distribution of steam dissipation in said second portion (15).
8. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein one end of said tube (20) is
connected to said tank unit (22) for allowing the remaining said liquid to flow
back into said tank unit (22).
9. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said tube (20) is made of
materials chosen from group of materials comprising copper, aluminum, steel
and the like.
10. The appliance (10) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said tank unit (22) is connected
to a defrost tray (42) of said appliance (10) through a connecting element (44)
for receiving defrosted water from said defrost tray (42). , Description:The invention relates to a household appliance 10 comprising a removable storage bin
12 positioned at a bottom portion 13 of the appliance 10. The storage bin 12 comprises
a first portion 14 and a second portion 15. The first portion 14 acts as a handle and the
second portion 15 stores at least one item. The appliance 10 comprises an electronic
control unit (ECU) 16 adapted to control at least one operation of the appliance 10. The
appliance 10 comprises a heater assembly 18 fitted inside the first portion 14, which is
connected to the ECU 16. The appliance 10 comprises a tube 22 positioned in the second
portion 15, which is connected to the heater assembly 18. The tube 22 dissipates steam
generated from the heater assembly 18 for cleaning the at least one item stored in the
second portion 15 of the storage bin 12.
