Specification

Claims:1. A soap formulation comprising:
a. soap noodle;
b. at least one hydrophobic ingredient; and
c. at least one non-hydrophobic ingredient,
wherein at least one hydrophobic ingredient to at least one non-hydrophobic ingredient w/w ratio in said formulation is in the range of 1:2.3-1:3.25.
2. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one hydrophobic to at least one non-hydrophobic ingredient w/w ratio in said formulation is 1:2.86.
3. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said formulation has density in the range of 1.03-1.05g/ml.
4. The formulation as claimed in claim 3, wherein said formulation density is 1.04g/ml.
5. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one hydrophobic ingredient is selected from the group consisting of C12-C18 fatty acids, vegetable oils such as castor oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, soya oil, palm oil, olive oil, almond oil, lauric acid and mineral oil.
6. The formulation as claimed in claim 5, wherein lauric acid weight concentration is in the range of 1.5-2%, and mineral oil weight concentration is in the range of 0.5-1.5%.
7. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one non-hydrophobic ingredient is selected from the group consisting of zinc oxide, aluminium silicate, titanium dioxide, talc, bentonite, polyethylene oxide and water.
8. The formulation as claimed in claim 7, wherein titanium dioxide weight concentration is in the range of 0.08-0.12%, talc weight concentration is in the range of 5-7%, polyethylene oxide weight concentration is in the range of 0.014-0.016%, and water weight concentration in the range of 0.8-0.95%.
9. The formulation as claimed in claim 7, wherein said at least one non-hydrophobic ingredient can further be at least one vegetable starch having weight concentration in the range of 1.5-3%, and aluminium silicate having weight concentration in the range of 0.5-1.5%.
10. A soap formulation comprising:
a. soap noodles having weight concentration of 88-92%;
b. lauric acid having weight concentration of 1.6-1.8%;
c. mineral oil having weight concentration of 0.7-0.9%;

f. polyethylene oxide 301N having weight concentration of 0.015%;
g. fragrance having weight concentration of 1.1%; and
h. water having weight concentration of 0.905%.
12. A process for preparing a soap formulation as claimed in claim 11, said process comprising:
a. mixing soap noodles, titanium dioxide, talc, polyethylene oxide and optionally water in a first container at a temperature of about 23-26°C to obtain a first mixture;
b. adding lauric acid and mineral oil to the first mixture and mixing to obtain a uniform second mixture; and
c. adding fragrance to second mixture to obtain a third mixture which is then passed through a cone and extruder maintained at a temperature in the range of 40-50°C to obtain said soap in a bar having density in the range of 1.03 to 1.05 g/ml.
