A Mechanism For Raising A Cover Of A Vehicle
Abstract: ABSTRACT A Mechanism for raising a Cover of a Vehicle A mechanism (100) for raising a cover (20) pivotally mounted to a body of a vehicle (10) wherein, the mechanism (100) has at least one gas spring (110) having a cylinder (120) and a rod (130). The cylinder is pivotally adapted to the cover and the rod is configured to move between a retracted position and an extended position. A bracket (140) is mounted in a compartment below the cover, and the bracket has a first slot (142) and a second slot (144). The rod is adapted to the bracket in the first slot or the second slot, whereby release of the rod to an f extended position in the first slot causes the pivotally mounted cover to move to a first raised position and adapting the rod in the extended position to the second slot causes the pivotally mounted cover to move to a second raised position.
