A Method And A System For Determining Weldability Assessment Of A Welded Steel From Base Steel
Abstract: ABSTRACT Present disclosure discloses a method for determining weldability assessment of a welded steel from a base steel. The method includes generating, by a control unit, an each thermal profile corresponding to each of a plurality of locations of the welded steel, where, the each thermal profile is generated by a thermal simulation based on one or more parameters associated during welding. Then, the method includes performing, by the control unit, an each thermo-mechanical simulation on the each base steel based on the each thermal profile. Further, the method includes determining, by the control unit, one or more mechanical properties of the each base steel based on thermomechanical simulation, and determining weldability assessment of the welded steel based on the determined one or more mechanical properties. The method is beneficial in minimizing overall man hours, machine hours, resources and costs involved in developing a new steel grade.
